Thanks everyone, great advice. I got the lites, they really are light! Others have told me too that they don't suggest them on humps, but for shorter stuff like the o-course.

Speaking of insoles...what is everyone's suggestion for a good cushioned insole?

That was my next question but you beat me to it, any thoughts?

Bio-soles. They used to issue them at OCS. They were incredible.

Those would be the ones. Before you run and spend the cake on those, maybe a recent graduate could chime in on whether those are still part of the small bag issue at OCS.

Well is anybody going to chime in and tell if the Bio-soles are part of the small bag issue?

I was at OCS last summer and they issued us those inserts. They actually gave us two pairs of inserts, the bio-sole inserts and another pair that I don't know the brand of, but they were grey on top and grey/orange/blue gel on the bottom. Those are the pair that I use. I think they may be Dr. Scholls but they have no logo on them at all.

But the bio-soles were good. I used them for the first half of OCS with no complaints, then I switched to the other pair I had.

Bates Light Boots?

I just tried to order some Bates Lights for OCS. Apparently theres some kind of problem with the manufacturing and they are on hold. Does anybody have anymore info about this? Also if I dont get the Bates, what is another good PT boot I could get? I used my jungles a lot last year for juniors but they started to hurt my feet so bad I couldn't even wear them anymore. They were narrow so maybe if I got wider ones they would fit better.

This is news too me. I would call Quantico Boot and see what they are saying about it. In my experience, they have been pretty approachable. Other than my lites, I usually just wore my Jungles. If yours are too narrow, your gonna wanna get a better pair anyway for Seniors.

Ya I already called them. They said it would be at least a week or two before I could get them ordered. I think I might just get another pair of jungles if I cant get the order in. I just dont know if I want another pair of jungles. Anyway, are u going to Seniors this summer or what.

no, I had to push seniors back to next summer because my grad date got pushed back. Kind of sucks because im way motivated to get back, but at least its more time to train.

Good luck this summer!

my oso told us that if our grad date was changing to let him know after Srs... unless it was gonna be 3 or more semesters... Maybe that is cuz there will be an OSO switchover this june and he didn't want to do the paperwork...

thanks mxracer... My OCS Bates say 11.5 on the size, so i should stick to that, right? Or should I go try on a pair of bates lights on base?
