March 2013 CEC Board

Just to let you know, I got accepted to the CEC for AD, and not through the collegiate program, and I do not have my EIT or PE. I don't think it's worth comparing resumes, as what my board (earlier this spring) was looking for wasn't necessarily what your board was. I think it would definitely help to have your EIT, but baring that, having a higher OAR score may help, too. During my interview with the CEC Accessions Officer, the FE came up, and it definitely didn't seem to help when I told him I did not have it.

Good luck with resubmitting your package! I am going to the Dec. 8th OCS class, so I unfortunately won't be around if you have questions. I just wanted to let you know that earlier this year it was possible to get accepted without your EIT/PE.

The current board may view EIT a bit differently, the board members during my first half tour would pick a person that didn't have it.

FYI, OAR not required for CEC applicants so they don't even look at that.

It just occurred to me, I don't think we were up for the same thing. You already have your degree, so you were probably up for DCO. I put in a package for collegiate, since I still have to finish my degree. I'm not sure how true it is, but from what
I did not know that, thanks for the correction. I just knew my OR required I take it, and then said my score was competitive so I figured it was useful/mandatory.

Sorry for the bad gouge castrozee.
congrats! Good luck out there hope you're staying as fit as possible.

Hey guys,

I just want to introduce myself and see if anyone else applied to the December 4 deadline for CEC collegiate. I'm a current college junior doing civil engineering with a 3.72 gpa and a 3.95 gpa in civil engineering. I submitted my kit for the December 4 deadline, which I believe the board is meeting on January 20. Is anyone else applying for this december/january board?

Just got notice Friday from my recruiter, my final select letter is here and I get to sign my papers on Tuesday.

I received my pro-rec from the October board. I was told that because of the shutdown I probably wouldn't see my finsel letter until at least mid January. So, I was very excited when I received the call last Friday.

Hey CEC_Bound, when is your class date? I got a pro-rec in October as well. It maybe time to send my recruiter an email...

That's what I'm thinking Dmitriy! I am hoping my recruiter is just on leave and when he gets back, there will be some paperwork waiting.

I haven't actually seen the letter or signed the paperwork yet, I've been out of town. But I received the call on Friday and he asked when I would be back to sign the paperwork. I'm setup to swear in tomorrow afternoon. From what I've read there are OCS class dates on the paperwork for those going directly to OCS, I'm in the collegiate program and I've only seen postings from one other person in that program that said there wasn't a class date on his. I have less then a year left so there is a chance my class date will be on my paperwork, but it probably won't be until around January 2015. I definitely let everybody know if I have a class date. I hope all of you hear soon.

Congrats! Yeah I need to contact my OR to see if he is around or if he's still on leave. I would figure that since we were all from the October board everything would be close together. And since I graduate in May, making some plans would be nice now.
