I predict this will not come to pass.
Concur, that's a tough one to enforce. I was in a "no wireless device" building Monday, and all security did was ask in I had a device. Not sure how they would know unless badged personnel were x-rayed at entry............think of that cluster fuck at the Pentagon.

They do have signal detectors that will go off if your phone is on near them, but those have a very limited range and the expense for covering all the lanes in all the access points at the Pentagon would be significant.

Any suggestions for a similar type pocket watch that won't break the bank?
Yes, sir...I'm biased regarding pocket watches since I collect only American railroad grade regarding the pocket watch sector. A fairly nice condition railroad grade Hamilton 992 or 992B...or railroad grade Elgin 571 can be purchased for anywhere from $200 - $300 (or less). These were manufactured in large numbers and parts are still readily available...and they can still be very accurate regarding time keeping ability...+/- 30 seconds per week (or better) which was railroad standard back in the day.
