I spoke with mine on Monday. No word on scroll/oath, not really sure of the process. He did state that 'they' were backed up and now required that I meet with him face-2-face on a monthly basis to ensure that I am not getting fat(ter) or arrested/injured/drugs/etc. So hopefully we hear something soon.
On another note, does anyone know of a DCO that came into the IW program as an O2-E in the past few years?

Still no news from me. My recruiter said we're waiting on my conditional release. Being in a controlled community and having routed a couple of these for other sailors, I believe it. It requires half the Navy to sign off on the release.

Also, according to Rufio in another thread, OSD is currently backed up.

New #380
*** IMPORTANT ***

For anyone who is awaiting to be commissioned, there is a backlog with OSD (Office of the Secretary of Defense) approving scrolls. Hopefully it gets back approved within 30 days and commissioning documents can be sent to the Field/ORs.

The Navy brings you as an O1.

I've heard of the the Air Force or Coast Guard bringing people in at a higher level depending on background and experience.

If you're something special like a doctor, then the Navy can bring you in as high as O-5 or O-6 I've heard.

Army Cyber direct commission can also bring people in as high as 1LT. I think there's similar things for medical/legal/chaplain.

Army's program is also only if you're going AD (full-time).

QUESTIONS:
Recruiter initially turned down my inquiry, but after reviewing all of my documentation, he replied "Highly Competitive". He's in the process of scheduling an appointment at Walter Reed for my medical.

----Does anyone know if IPs take the OAR test?
----I'm afraid I will not return to Weight or measurement standards by the time I have my medical appointment - is this a disqualifier or will I have time to correct this after my appointment and before DCOIC?
----Does anyone know the success rate for IP e.g. X packages are submitted and Y are accepted?

My recruiter wouldnt move forward if you were not within height/weight. YMMV.

There were 6 selected on last years board. There is a FY19 thread, you should head over there.

Adding to what @devilbones said I can see how your OR said you’re initially not competitive. You are in fact in the DC area where folks like you are a dime a dozen. In fact, they probably have graduate education which you don’t have, and something that might bite you for this board.
