FY 17 OCS BOARD SCHEDULE

I received a call yesterday from my recruiter saying that the SWO board is meeting next week. According to the most recent schedule posted here, the next SWO board is in May. I know there have been schedule changes so is there a new schedule or was I misinformed?

I am also quite interested in this information. My recruiter just told me a few days ago that SWO meets next on 15MAY. My kit is already in, but I'm now just pretty curious.

Been meaning to post this. Updated board schedule as of March 6th.

RUFIO, Does it typically take NPC a long time to update their board schedule that is posted? The schedule on there still shows the next Pilot/NFO board occurring as your original post in this thread on 19JUN17, instead of your most recent board schedule showing next one 11JUL17.

NPC has been frequent culprits of either posting inaccurate or outdated information.

to add to what RUFIO posted, NPC has no obligation to keep an updates board schedule, boards are held by NRC, in fact NPC often leave inaccurate info on their webpage in regards to OCS programs.

NavyOffRec & RUFIO, thanks for the reply. That's what I thinking. I've noticed at least, with regards to what the OPNAV 1420.1B has and what NPC has doesn't necessarily line up very well, such as NPC has a lot more additional requirements not shown in the 1420.1B, but are expected for OCS packages, but as you stated often culprits of inaccurate or outdated information.

This kind of draws out another question, is there anyone to review packages to see if its missing anything, at least for Active Duty sailors if you get it reviewed prior to package deadlines? My command doesn't have a dedicated Naval Career Counselor, but rather just a couple YN1's who have it as a collateral, but have literally been zero help for this process. I've emailed Mr. Celestin a few times for random questions here and there, but not sure if reviewing packages for completeness is in the scope of his responsibility prior to them getting submitted to the board.

Thanks again gents!

I'm not sure if this applies to AD, but my recruiter told me that my package had to be perused by a Processor before going to the board. I submitted back in February for May and June boards and the Processor looked it over and found some paperwork I needed to sign (for the umpteenth time). Apparently they do the final once over before it goes up.

RUFIO,

Are their any updates to this schedule at this time?

-Paul

Paul, attached is the most recent board schedule on NPC/MPTE Portal library as of March 8th. It's also the same schedule I received from a OCS Helpdesk Point of Contact, and I'm pretty sure its the same one RUFIO posted, as the Pilot/NFO board schedule for July is still reflecting the same.

Any word on when the next board schedule will be released? Looking to submit for Supply and SWO at the last quarter of the year.
