Final Select Purgatory

just got my pro-rec' yes two days ago from the February 19th supply board. Hoping it doesn't take too long for the final fiscal letter. How long did it take for those who've gotten theirs? Also does it come as a letter to your home or just your recruiters office? Thanks for the help!!!!

I have a question for everyone here that was just picked up. If you're working a career with long days, how are you preparing physically for OCS? I work typically a 10 hour day, 4 days a week. But I have a rotating on call schedule so I'm sometimes working 24 straight hours. I run when I get home and it's still light outside, because I don't want to be mauled by javalina or coyotes ?. I do pushups at work throughout the day. Anyone have any tips to share on their own methods?

I ask because others I've spoken to about this that were selected either don't work, or have a normal 9-5. I'd appreciate any input!

@LadyAsh You definitely seem like you're well informed, so I'll take a chance and assume you've seen the PRT charts? If not, I'll link some sources below. Everything I've read/heard about OCS emphasizes being able to meet the standards set forth for pushups, sit-ups and 1.5 mile time, so I've based my training on these. The first major "rollable event" at OCS is the IST, or Initial Strength Test, and apparently quite a few people fail it and get held back. Unfortunately for some, preparation does require "forcing" workouts into a schedule that realistically has few gaps; I'm currently a full-time grad student and full-time retail employee, so I understand your pain. In order to be fully prepared (or perhaps just prove that I still can, haha), I've based my training on being able to perform "Maximum" scores in the 17-19 y/o Male standards. It helps to know I can achieve higher scores than I'm required to in my age group (25-29 y/o).

Also, if you haven't heard of/seen Navy Dave's Youtube content I highly recommend it. He provides detailed descriptions of his recent experience at OCS, lots of good gouge in there. I'll link his content below as well.
