Just to let you all know, I received an e-mail reply from the OCS people about whether someone who has already been receiving BAH through BDCP needs to still bring the BAH related paperwork like birth certificates of yourself and your wife and kids (if applicable). The answer was YES because paperwork things are sometimes lost or mixed up when people arrive. This answer also applies to our needing to bring our EPSQ info on a disk or hard copy (for those that had to do an EPSQ).

See you all in just a few days!

I just booked reservations at the Bachelor's Officers Quarters (didn't think we could at first). It's only 27 reimburseable dollars a night, is on base, and looks pretty nice.

Where's everyone else staying?

Best,
Chris

Red Roof Inn. BOQ & Navy Lodge is full (Lodge is full on Saturday night).

I must've just slipped in. I actually got Friday and Saturday nights. After I read your message I called to make sure that I hadn't been screwed, but they assured me that the reservations were set in stone for the 10-12.

Best,
Chris

Hmm, I'll google it, but the most well-known movie about OCS is probably An Officer and a Gentleman, which is actually about the old AOCS. There is a video about OCS that your recruiter is supposed to show you, though.

Best,
Chris

Good luck everyone starting OCS on Sunday!! Sounds like you have a great crew to go through it all with and I hope to be serving with you soon in the fleet. GO NAVY!

That's it. The one the recruiter showed you. I would like to get a copy of it. Do you know if anyone has a digital copy. I guess I could call a recruiter.

I thought it was pretty cool, too. If you can't find one online, you might want to ask your recruiter for it--as an acceptance gift maybe.

Best,
Chris
