does any one have a copy of "the 3rd Company Youngster Manifesto?" It was written in 2001 by a couple guys of the class of 2004. I never read it myself but have heard good things about it.

Anyone who touched the Youngster manifesto was maxed. One of the guys who i worked with at the radio station stood 60 just for having it on his computer.

If you find a copy put it up....

It was a long, well written 'manifesto' about the upperclass in a particular company from a youngster. He basically blasted the leadership abilities of the firsties and second class. Another point of it was how youngsters were being treated like plebes who didn't have to chop or do chowcalls. It ended up getting out to everyone after some idiot accidentally forwarded it to the wrong people
'They' came down really hard on the writer, throwing around the word mutiny. Seriously, I thought we were going to see the dude hanged in T-court. Anyone who forwarded the email also got it good.
Unfortunately, I believe the manifesto is lost forever. The writer ended up graduating and was one of the "percent who got jets". (and a really good dude)

This sentiment has very much been expressed throughout my class, with the addition of media and rigged uniforms, and some other priviledges of course, but I think everyone has begun to find their roles, and we don't hear that all too much anymore, but yeah definitely in the beginning of the year, that was expressed often.

Matt, I think we were Plebes when that was written. One of the youngsters in my squad got nailed for having it, spent I think 45 days on restriction for it.

That sounds about right. I'm not sure if I knew him or not, although I doubt it.

I remember the Yongster Manifesto. I'm pretty sure that it was someone from my class (2003) that wrote it, as the timing sounds about right. But I never actually saw the thing, nor do I know who wrote it. I was, however, in 3rd Co. for my plebe year, and I could see how someone would be bitter with some of that Mid leadership, combined with the fucked up way the 'Dant was treating everyone. Granted, it doesn't sound like it's nearly as f'ucked up as things are going there right now, but it sucked at the time.

You all are right about how the administration reacted to the thing, though. They weren't screwing around, and 'mutiny' was thrown out there several times.

Was that the famous Admiral Dant? The Supe back then wasn't exactly the best either from what I was told. Of course we all know how his career ended up.

My roommate's sponsor brother (we were firsties, I believe he was a second class) was on 60 days restriction, and on his birthday his roommates got him a stripper and snuck her into the hall. He ended up getting fried again because of it. He ended up graduating, now he flies Cobras and I last saw him when we went through WTI together...

Must have my memory examined. I'm sure you're right.

It was a certain flag 'Dant who commenced the witch huntin', but that was before the last Great Supe left for SUNY. His replacement got kind of pissed when the former came back to loud ass cries of 'SUPE!!!' at an Alumni Hall lecture, and replacement got zilch.

Yeah, that was hilarious, especially considering the cool Supe was in civvies and still got the calls. The Mike Tyson Supe looked pissed.
