DCO Supply Chances and Selections

Try for Intel. Being an IS with a Masters will help.

Thanks RUFIO181 for the advice.

I will try HR first since most of my background is in HR and then I will go for intel and the supply again if I don't get selected.

By the way, when is the intel board for FY18?

Sorry to all of you who weren't selected and congrats to those who were. Looking forward to interacting with those of you trying for HR over on the HR discussion thread. I'm shooting for that myself.

I have been viewing this form for over a year and has helped a ton over the past several months putting together my package. Best of luck to everyone, I hope everyone that did not get selected this go around continues to push.

My recruiter seems to not have access to the selection list. He says still waiting on the confirmation. Was wondering since I see some folks have received the news of selected/not selected, is the list not finalized or published out yet?

Thank you for the update. I'm assuming that the list is not public and is posted internally?

No it's not. If your recruiter has no clue how to access the NRC SharePoint and access Reserve Programs/Board Results, I'm afraid your recruiter isn't the best (or nowhere close) at their job. Accessing SharePoint and Results is Officer Recruiting 101 these days. In some recruiting districts, ORs need to demonstrate themselves (without help) how to access these things before being a qualified OR. Additionally, he can check PRIDEMOD II (the app where we track applicants) for status updates as well. No excuses for "hey I can't seem to find the results" line.

There are some NRDs out there who neglect to fully train their ORs, which might be a root cause for yours. But if not, then that's fully unacceptable.

@RUFiO181 I have a post-mortem question for you... On this latest Supply board, was there any heads up that there would be only 15 selections? I'd imagine they keep this quiet in order to ensure a deep pool of applicants and to avoid discouraging people from trying. More curious than anything...

Thanks

Nope. Until the selection list came out is the first time I see how many they take.

Thank you. It benefits all of us as a country when there are more qualified candidates than spots. I just have to keep telling myself that!

There used to be a document that would give the billets for the FY that was available for NRD leadership, rarely would recruiters see that, but I remember Supply DCO usually having a low number of selections each board.
