Auto Transport Companies

The next time that y'all need auto transport, check out the companies on transportreviews.com as the OP suggested. Some reviews are fake, but you can get a fair feel for the company just the same with the confirmed information provided on the site (i.e. the link to their website, MC numbers which you can check online, etc.)

I have used DAS and I highly recommend them. The most important thing you should look for when shopping for moving companies is if they deal with a major insurance company for their business and transport insurance. I dont go for the guys that own their moving business privately and they only have 1 location in whole USA alot of shady people into this business you dont want your car or anything valuable ending up shipped to Africa or Russia.

DAS is ok, they have some comm issues with their contract drivers though. Ended up being a few days late on both ends, and the driver just showed up unexpectedly while we weren't able to take delivery with no prior warning which further delayed things. Also be aware you will prob have to pay cash on the spot, which wouldn't be a big deal but without warning it can be. Not unhappy with the experience but it could have been smoother with better communication

I've used these guys twice now for my baby, both to and from SD and FL:

http://goldenkeyexpress.com/auto-transport/

Their CA-FL route uses a covered trailer, which is what I wanted, but they have other routes that aren't covered (necessarily). They were first class both times and the driver I dealt with (both times) was very flexible in delivery details (ie, using someone else to pick up the car).

I'm sure they're a little pricier, but you're dealing with the actual owners/shippers and not bidding through a system that may or may not work out when you actually need them to show up.

Did you call them to get that price? I understand you said you were a repeat customer. How much of a discount did you actually get? I am about to ship my mazda from Oak Harbor to Pensacola, and am getting a quote online for $1650 from this company. Thanks!

First time I paid $1180, this time $995. Ask specifically for a military discount if you haven't already . . .

I'll recommend national transport again. Made moving a plane and car easier on my way to Key West. Just call and they will give you a slight military discount from the web price. My car got picked up same day I called after I changed shipping to Atlamta vice key west.

Here is an idea for shipping. Before you select a company to ship your car, research the transport companies from the internet. Choose a trustworthy company and go to their website for further information. Don't give the personal details before you got the quotes. Don't go with the cheapest priced companies, Better to go with middle priced companies. Make a document of your car about the mileage before and after shipping. Trucks are weighted limited has so removed the personal or important and unwanted items from your car.
