FYI... If you have an AMEX platinum and you book a ticket through Delta and your "Delta" flight is scheduled through a "partner carrier" of say... Virgin Atlantic with a Delta flight number, you'll be DENIED entrance to the Delta Sky Club.

Also, your Priority Pass does not auto renew, so you have to call and get it again, etc

This from the AMEX web page:

When you're at the airport, you can get complimentary entry to a CenturionSM Lounge*, Airspace Lounge, or Delta Sky Club®, just by showing your Platinum Card, valid I.D. and same-day boarding pass.

Doesn't sound like it matters what airline you are on at all. It seems extra odd that one would be denied admission when he was on a DAL code share. That is one of the perks of a code share connection. My priority pass auto renewed but had to call and get another one for my wife.

That's odd, I literally just got my new card with a new expiration date three years from now and didn't do a thing.

Same here. Although I've never used the PP Lounges, only Sky Clubs and Centurion Lounges. Always wondered if the ones CONUS worked when you were flying, say, Delta, and wanted into the Luftansa Lounge somewhere.

I haven't had a problem with that. The benefit is for the card holder, not customer of the airline. In fact, even when I am a non revenue guy flying space A I just show them my "boarding pass" with out any seat assignment on it and they always let me in.

MIA centurion lounge had been turning away people lately that are non revving and don't have seat assignments. Might just be one joker at the desk there. Hasn't happened to me yet but I have heard a few coworkers mention it's happened. YMMV.

No way! Doesn't say anything about being revenue or not in the card agreement. If that starts to spread I'll be very pissed. As I rarely fly on a paid ticket it simply negates one of the biggest benefits I use of the card. I'll leave them if it gets around.

Was happy to see they added gold status for HHonors. That will definitely be a money saver.

A bit further down this is what it says:

"The Platinum Member must present his or her valid Card, government-issued I.D., and same-day corresponding airline ticket to club agents. Code-share and affiliated lounge agreements may not apply to provide complimentary club access in all case"

I was a bit surprised, because I remember going into the SkyClub with a KLM boarding pass. I called AMEX and they said that the airline has every right to not honor the agreement with AMEX and Delta. The lady at the desk was pretty dogmatic about the boarding pass being specifically Delta. This was at MCO in FL. Overall, I was just a little bit disappointed in how AMEX handled it.

Wink,
I noticed that they recently put on the club entry rules for the Centurion Lounge, "Note: Passengers holding standby tickets and non-revenue standby passengers, including airline or industry employees traveling on discounted tickets, are not eligible to utilize the lounge unless they have received a boarding pass for the flight for which they are on standby."
This actually recently changed and they added the part about getting the boarding pass. A couple of weeks ago it just said no airline employees on standby travel.
I have tested the waters with a SWA security document about 7-8 times in the Las Vegas lounge and they let me in with no questions, but that's probably what is happening in Miami.
I agree that if they drop this benefit then I am not going to pony up the annual fee when it comes due. The card is handy when I travel, but there are other cards with little or no annual fee that can reap much bigger rewards.
