Do most midshipmen get advanced standing? What factors go into getting it?

It is a competitive process just like the scholarship. Many of the individuals who I have seen go AS is because they did not take Calc and Physics (such as myself all those long years ago) and have decided that Advanced standing is the path they wanted to take. I cant really say that 'most' do or don't. I personally have a good track record with getting College Program MIDN get a contract one way or another. Bottom line is apply yourself, get good grades, good PT scores and Good aptitude scores and you are competitive.
