Thanks guys! I haven’t been updating it especially since my son was born 6Dec. Have the routine down now , and will be getting back into studying next week when I get back to work. I have absolutely no issues updating it. Everyone seems to have great numbers going into this board.

Hey congrats man that's awesome! Quite the year getting selected NFO and son being born!

And yeah this board looks disgustingly competitive. I was pretty confident heading into it then people post their scores and I feel just a little smaller each time haha

I think, like a lot of the guys said, the people on this board tend to be higher than the actual application pool. After looking at statistics from 2016 I would be willing to bet that everyone on here, with very few exceptions are within the top 25%-30% of the actual application pool. I do wonder if the Navy has ever put together a statistics chart showing the average amount of applications they get a board. OR maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better about this extremely competitive board, only God knows.

Each day waiting for late February is daunting especially as each person comes in here with and 80 and 9s haha but yeah I do believe that scores are generally higher but I think the averages for this board are about to be ridiculous. Also, nice degree man, I personally think it's the easiest science out there (jk E and M raked me over the coals)

Right, this bored is full of a bunch of studs. Thanks! You too man. Electricity and Magnetism bent a lot of kids over. They're were like 5 kids in my class of 50 that had to change majors a semester away from graduation because they didn't have any class retakes left. I'll say it didn't contribute beneficially to my GPA at all but nor did a lot of the junior/senior level courses.

I had the same deal. Walked out with a C+ and was happy with it. A couple in my class actually dropped out of college because they were in too deep and couldn't retake it. Electrostatics and Magnetostatics weren't terrible but god when ever you get into the motion adjustments for Ampere's and Faraday's laws I found out really quickly I didn't learn enough integration techniques in Calc III.

I take the ASTB on Friday. Makin' me nervous lol

And don't sweat it man. You won't touch anything but the basics of physics and simple machines

NAVYTrad: You'll be fine, just relax and have fun with it.

I probably indulged in the social life more than I should've but hey, I wouldn't change a thing.

Good Luck on the board dude, I'm still waiting on MEPS. Hopefully getting in this week.

After over a year into the process, I finally get to check in for a board!

Best of luck everyone! We've got one hell of an applicant pool going here.

Definitely an incredible start for a new chapter. Really cannot wait to get to OCS though!

I would hope everyone here gets selected, that is if nobody is exaggerating their scores. I have faith everyone will.

The 3 OCT board got their PRORECs on 24 OCT and a lot are reporting to the 10 DEC OCS class.
The 11 JUL board got their PRORECs on 19 JUL and a lot reported to the 17 SEP OCS class.

Hello, any chance you have ship or class up dates for spring and summer 2018? I'm trying to plan my departure from my current career at the beginning of June 2018. I'm not on active duty anymore, and thus I don't have access to Naval Messages where I'm supposing the schedule is posted.
Thanks for your hope.

Unfortunately I don't know that information. Everything I find is solely based off this site. From what I can see, the OCS class furthest out is 8 APR 18 and they normally happen every 3 weeks, so I would assume there would be a class on 10 JUN 18 which would probably fit your criteria.

I hate to chime in because I know I'm not the person you asked, but banking on a specific OCS class date for quitting your job without having a FINSEL is like relying on lottery tickets as income. No matter how consistent it has been lately, that can change for our board.

So being board at work, I decided to calculate the averages for this board so far (from the people that have given their information to Arizona's google sheet).

Average Age: 23 (22.93333)
Average ASTB: 55 6/7/7 (54.8125/6.375/6.9375/6.625)
Average GPA: 3.32 (3.324286)

The parenthesis are the exact numbers. If you get the chance and have not, submit your info to Arizona's google sheet on page three so not only us, but future boards can use it as a metric for wait times, average scores, and all kinds of other stats.

Also, whenever the submission deadline closes I'll do a nice little statistical analysis (I'm imagining it will be a bell curve) so people can see where you are in respect to standard deviation; thought it'd be pretty cool but want to see what you guys think before I put effort into that.

The worksheet is read only. I just tried to edit it and it told me I had to save it as new file.
