All y'all with your flight hours and PPL makin' me nervous!!! lol
Hey man, congrats on applying to the program. Good luck on the upcoming board. I wouldn't be to concerned that you don't have a private completed. The reality is that although I have some flying experience in the civilian world, I don't necessarily have a leg up on those with no flying experience. If anything, I might be at a slight disadvantage due to the fact that I have some bad habits already haha. You'll probably be just fine, and a quick look at your score says you're competitive. Like mentioned before, I'm pretty sure that the most engaged people are participating on this forum. Hope to bump into you one day in the fleet. Cheers. -JB

Thanks for the boost man! Likewise... This board is kind of taking the edge off but at the same time amplifying it. I want to have it in the bag, but nothing worth having comes easy... Best of luck to you!

Glad to help man, is this your first board? I also couldn't help but notice that you mentioned before that you had intentions of applying for a commission in the Air Force if you weren't selected this round in the Navy. If for some reason you're not selected( I really doubt that will be the case), I would highly suggest you consult with your recruiter about applying again. It's not my area of expertise, but it seems like a lot of work to compile a package for the Navy and then compile a second package for the Air Force. In my humble opinion, Naval Aviation is the place to be. Go Navy beat Army/ Air Force. =D

Yeah, it is my first board. I'm just nervous and want to have all my bases covered. As far as aviation goes, the navy is the best, from what everyone has told me. I'm also looking at army warrant officer. Pay scale is similar, I could for sure get in to that, and you don't have to deal with as much B.S. as an commissioned officer. Anyways, I REALLY want the Navy to accept my application, my I'm overthinking it, but at the same time I don't want to under think it and not have some sort of back up plan.

So the Navy's board is February as is the Army's, and the Air Force is in April. I'm assuming the Navy's next board would be Sumer time-ish. I just don't want to cover all my options and not have choices I guess. All my family was enlisted so I'm kind of going the extra mile and they're hella salty about it.

I'm hoping to get may package together in time to submit for this board. I am currently waiting on MEPS to get my physical done. It has been 10 weeks and still nothing from them. I posted this question in another section of the forum and someone said they were able to get their physical done at a navy medical facility. Is this true? I have tried to ask my OR but he has not answered my phone calls and keeps telling me "MEPS is MEPS, they're gunna do what they need to do. They have to take care of a bunch of people." Even if I get my physical done next week, will I have enough time to submit a package before the dead line? When I enlisted I was pushed through MEPS 2 days later.
I had the same problem I missed the October board because MEPS took forever. It took them like a month to get me down there once they received my paperwork. Good luck

I believe the deadline is Dec 29th, idk how long the whole MEPS thing takes to process, I believe mine was about two or three weeks after my MEPS date that I was Ok'd. Hopefully it works for you if you go in time... My recruiter told me that I only needed to give him 3 days notice, do you live in a high traffic area that is backed up or something?

Just talked to my recruiter, either he or MEPS lost all of my paperwork. Took him 3 months to find this out. I guess I'm waiting till next time...

Same thing happened to me with the October board. The MEPs liaison never added my paperwork to my med read. It's super frustrating and does happen pretty frequently from what I'm gathering. The thing that resonates with me is something my recruiter and brother told me, that the couple months extra wait time sucks now, but it will hardly be relevant two years down the road when you're in the air with a career your civilian friends are jealous of.

Whoop! I was in A-Batt. I was A-Batt 16 but I took the ol army victory lap! You?

I was in F-1 '17 and I took a half-victory lap as well, graduating here in a few days! Fingers crossed we get selected and the same OCS date. It'd be great to have another Ag around

Applied for Intel - SWO - SNFO for this FY. Denied for SWO but after looking into it more NFO seems like it would be a better fit for me anyways, good luck to everyone!

Hoping to get this board. Have the whole packet ready to go I'm just waiting on MEPS to review my documents and allow me to come in for the physical.I submitted documents on Monday (11/27) Kind of nervous I might miss Dec 29 based on what I've been reading on how long they take. May the MEPS gods bless me with a quick turn around.

To all, God bless and good luck.
Wow! Congrats on such an awesome score! I've been studying since April, taking the OAR in two weeks. Your study guides are incredibly helpful.

So I was shooting for the February board, but it is sounding like I will not have the medical done in time. I live in Pensacola and so I can get the full flight physical at NAMI on NAS Pensacola instead of going to MEPS in New Orleans. However they are backed up through the end of the year with appointments. What my recruiter said, is that they tend to put all of the Aviation candidates in the same OCS class. So whether February board or one after, likely will go to OCS start of summer. Do you guys know anything about that? Or when you guy's OCS date would be after getting pro recommended in February?
