You need to get better shoes my dude. Bravo study is a bitch. Just gotta get it done though. Arizona gave me the current chain of command a little while back. I'll probably post a neat version of it (not my handwritten crap) to the Facebook group for our class.

I don't have a Facebook but am thinking I should get one eh?

Bought new shoes and haven't been able to use them yet. Trying to rest up. Good on the big three (although I would love to have the current chain of command) and ranks, oath of office and sailors creed. Songs I am good on. Everything after mission of the Navy hasn't been studied as much lol trying to cram it all in my head!!

Also, I have seen about three or four different lists of what to bring to OCS. Is everybody here using one list in particular? thinking I will just stick with what is on OCS website

Applied: INTEL(Dec board, prorec No), NFO
Age: 21
Degree: International Studies, Economics
GPA: 3.8
OAR: 59
ASTB 6/5/6
PROREC for NFO: No
LOR's: two professors, one past employer

I'm very disappointed that I didn't get selected. I had previously applied to INTEL back in December and didn't get selected then either. I spoke with my recruiter who said that he was very surprised I couldn't get in. According to him I was an application score of 94. I'm committed to commissioning with the Navy for NFO and so I'm going to get another LOR from a retired O4 in the army and my recruiter is going to revise my package to try and make it look a little better while trying to find 2-3 officers to perform a few interviews with me so we can add that to my package. He tells me there will be another opportunity to apply for NFO in April, so I guess it's going to be more waiting for me. At least it will give me some more time to work out.

I didn't have that much volunteer or leadership experience so I guess that might have brought me down along with my LOR's, but I don't know.

Alright, so just got a call from my recruiter today who said that he got the extra LOR I had sent in and has been calling/talking with some people involved in the selection for NFO about why I wasn't selected initially. He said that something changed and that my acceptance status has been changed from a No to a Yes! Got a letter in my email from the OCS Accessions to attend Officer School for April 8th. Don't really know what happened, but I guess I'll take it. He said that he talked with some people involved about my aptitude and along with some sort of correction to a processing error during my application package that both went together to get me accepted.

Don't really have a lot of time to get prepared physically since this is coming in so late. Cardio and training is basically going to be my life for the next 25 days.

First time posting here. I got PRO REC Y for NFO a couple weeks back. My stats were:

GPA: 3.4
OAR: 62
ASTB: 6/5/7
LORs: 2 retired 0-4's, 1 past employer, and 2 professors

Got the call this morning that I have been put into the April 29th OCS class! I have been lurking on this forum for a while now and it has helped me immensely throughout my application. Thank you to everyone!

Make sure you're hitting the bravo study as well man. Yeah pushups and running are important at OCS, but they're gonna be screaming questions at you and when you don't know them you just do more pushups and running. If you haven't already, hop on the facebook group. We've been putting workouts, study material, and all kinds of things on there to try to help each other out. See ya in 25 days!

Congrats to all who have been selected. I'm starting to realize this is no walk in the park and a great achievement. Unfortunately, I did not get picked up for NFO this board. Pretty surprising and my recruiter only told me that not many were selected. Stats below:

Age: 23
Degree: Int'l Affairs
GPA: 3.55
Test scores: 60, 7/6/8
LORs: 2 retired O-6s, professor, past employer

Best of luck to you Aviators. I am still in for the upcoming SWO board however.

Well, just this past week I found out I actually was accepted for NFO while inquiring about SWO board results! I was fed incorrect results and/or my recruiter never saw/got the final results of the board. Looks like I will be in the 29 APR class. What a rollercoaster it's been!

Yo you guys see that they're thinking of holding a special pre board to flood the pipeline with more people? Man if that happens while a lot of us are still waiting on FINSEL I'm probably gonna die a little inside.
geez, were backed up enough as it is

Hey guys. So here is my situation. I was in the "automatic selection" for being in the "green zone" when my recruiter calculated my GPA and ASTB score. But my recruiter changed locations and gave my application to a different recruiter. Now the new recruiter says that there is no such thing as an "automatic selection" but I have a very good chance of making the pilot selection because im in the "green zone." I told the old recruiter what he said and he told me to just go with it... what is happening here?

Was your application submitted for the auto-select board on April 19? If not then you're application will be adjudicated for the next aviation board which is May 23 I believe, in which case you just have to be patient.
