7 FEB 2018 Aviation Board

Then they resend it, pretty simple process actually. Several years ago they actually notified all NRD's and other commands that no mailed applications will be accepted by NRC.
I guess it was a poor joke without any context. My packet has run into so many clerical issues (was supposed to be in the July board but ran into issues and the same thing with the October board). The running joke right now is they accidentally put my whole kit through the shredder.

I can second this. I've had so many issues with this process I'm half expecting my recruiter to call me a week or two after the board convenes just to tell me that something happened after they submitted it.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know, with the submission deadline having come and gone, I locked the GoogleSheet to view only to avoid someone trolling and what not. If you want to make an edit, or would like permanent access to it, just message me and we can figure it out.

Hey I don't want to get anyone's hopes up but my recruiter mentioned that he thinks the Navy is in an auto-select period where SNA/SNFO applicants who meet a specific ASTB/GPA combo and are willing to go to OCS right away are awarded some kind of immediate selection? Has anyone else heard this, and is this just rumor mill stuff or legit info?

NRC has been working on dolling out a program that gives immediate selection to "exceptionally qualified candidates". It hasn't been activated nor has it gone anywhere past "we are working on this phase".

With that being said, these boards do consider the "whole person" but for the most part it is based on ASTB and Major/ GPA anyway. It's not immediate, but this isn't really anything different.

He is. My recruiter already had a "calculator" where he was able to enter GPA/Major and ASTB and see if someone qualified or not. It was still in Beta stages. It's a moot point though because even if they roll this out tomorrow, we're all going to board.

I should also clarify this is how he described it to me in November when I had first heard about it. Things may have changed since then.

I heard about the calculator as well and my recruiter was able to give me a score. He said it’s something that they and the boards consider but it’s by no means a definite thing

I was able to get one as well, and don't have much faith in it being a very useful indicator.

uhh, do you know what the theoretical calculator is? like scores/gpa etc? or is it too complex to explain
