Beaverslayer, corporate America my friend. It wouldn't and couldn't be a "your leaving so your fired". But could easily turn into "well we're already cutting back so since your leaving your cut first". The only public explanation would be "restructuring" or "workforce shaping" or some other dumb ass buzzword for giving people the axe. I'd be low hanging fruit. And I like to keep my low hanging fruit in tact. It's dirty but I've seen people cut for less.

To AV8R. That is great gouge. Thank you for sharing. Please share more if/when possible. I can't believe the in-PRT is week 4. That makes me a little sad. It's more of a 1/3 of the way in PRT. A PRT right off the start would offer a better picture of your improvement overall as well as show who came ready.
Eh, either way, lets GO. I'm gettin' itchy.

Good muster guys.
Compared to the other OCS Date threads this looks to be a good class, at least more active. Im planning on leaving CA on the 12th and getting to Newport on the 19th if anyone is going to arrive early and wants to meet up for a beer let me know.

Info

Hey all. I'll keep the info coming as it comes to me. One thing I have noticed is that we are mostly pilots in our class. There is another pilot that I know from the Wichita area that is also in our class. One thin my buddy Officer Candidate says is that it's all about teamwork there. I know that pilots, I can be guilty of this myself, let the Type A personality get in the way of good teamwork. Lets be level headed and know that we are scum when we get there. We are all leaders I'm sure. I haven't seen the slightest bit of rudeness or cockiness on these threads, but back to the point........teamwork.

That one is me. I'm not fast at all, but I do run distance. At 5'1", I'm pretty confident I'll be the shortest sh*t in the class. Somebody pack a midget, please.

@ Afterburner,

I'm heading over from Illinois pretty early, also. I haven't seen the Atlantic in a while, and would like to just relax for a few days before the fun starts. We'll definitely have to get together.

I'm going up on the 18th and crashing with some buddies in newps, also the night of the 19th my family and friends are throwing me a little party at the IYAC for my birthday, fun starts around 8-9ish, anyone is more than welcome to come!

Lobster...that's too good.

And do we have a Facebook group? I try not to get too hung up on Facebook, but it would be nice to get to know some of the classmates.

Wow...found the FB group and we had 30 members already. I'm a bit behind. Buddy emailed me today and said 20 passed RLP today, and 16 failed. He said this is a ridiculously high percentage to fail and the DI was hacked. He said they got beat for the rest of the day. Wet and sandy type beatings.
