Just out of curiosity, what are y'alls stats who have or are going up for CEC DCO? I trolled a couple of threads but couldn't find anything. Do you guys have your EIT or PE? What kind of work experience? Masters?

Edit: I commissioned via CEC DCO with the following stats:
no prior service
BE in mech engr and BA in math (3.8 gpa)
MS in mech engr (my grad school didn't have a strict gpa, but it was considered a 'high-high pass')
4.5 years (at the time, now over 5) years work as a design/consulting/commissioning engineer in the construction industry
EIT in Ohio
ACG Commissioning Authority certification
LEED AP BD+C accreditation
3 LORs from current and former employers
3 interviews from people the accessions officer selected (still keep in touch with one of them!)

- No prior service
- Engineer-In-Training
- BS Civil Engineering (3.5 GPA), MS Environmental Engineering (3.5 GPA)
- 2+ years working as a design/consulting engineer
- 3 LORs from current and former employers
- 3 interviews from people the accessions officer selected

ACG is the AABC Commissioning Group. (AABC is the Associated Air Balance Council). The ACG is one of the primary certifying authorities in the commissioning field. ASHRAE also does a certification but the standard is the ACG CxA (Commissioning Authority) qualification.

One thing I did hear from someone during my application process was that you need 10's across the board for DCO. Do you know in which areas you scored 9s? Could you possibly do new interviews with your next package and aim to get 10s in those categories as well?

As for GPA, I would hope that would be a much smaller factor for DCO since we should all be working professionals bringing that professional experience to the table. It sounds like you have that in spades.

I was hoping the same thing. I was also hoping my PE would carry more weight than my GPA. Nobody else in the world asked or cared until now. Interestingly enough half of the people who were non-select were not chosen for low GPA (at least on the list that I have). Most of the non-selects did not have professional registraion. I guess they put a lot of weight on the education aspect. i learned more on the job than in college though.
I had not heard that about the 10's. My OR did tell me that anything less than 9 would not be competitive.

Any updates? Do we know if the results are in for sure?

The results are in for sure.

My package wasn't reviewed because the tattoo screening form (NAVCRUIT 1130/104) was updated 10/2013.

Normally, a package that is already submitted when a new form gets released will get grandfathered. But, for some reason my app was pulled due to an out of date form and the only way my OR knew was when my name wasn’t on the board results list.

So, now I have submitted an updated tattoo form and have to wait for the May board.

Yay.

I have seen that happen several times with different forms, only a couple times have I seen a form grandfathered, but if it was kicked back then your processor would have known as it would have shown in the CIRIMS work queue for them.
