Making Recruiting Great Again
I was PROREC-N on the 23MAY board due to an admin oversight. OR had me re-submit immediately, although I did completely overhaul my motivational statement and APSR, and had since graduated from college and began working at a new job.

That really doesn’t make sense. What admin oversight? If you are resubmitting for the same program and same GPA/ASTB scores the odds are not in your favor...

That said, any idea when those who are selected might expect to class up at Newport?

I put my availability at immediately and was told by my OR that being able to go right away will be beneficial for me if on the border of selection vs someone who can’t go for a few months. He said to be ready for either OCS date in September because that’s when he thinks I’ll go as SNA.

Yeah, last thread people literally got OCS dates a couple of weeks out.

Wouldn't count on a September OCS date. I got selected last board and now they're telling me Sept, possibly October, first class of FY19. Plenty of people still waiting on FINSELs from May.

Recieved correspondence to submit last 5 years of my medical record as well as a current evaluation regarding history of eczema. Have been referred out to a dermatologist, but I dont have any eczema on me, nor have been officially diagnosed with it. Hoping the dermatologist will sign me off. I read that eczema or history of is a DQ...but it feels like they are trying to waive it . Guess we'll see.

Apparently the board saw that I went to Mass Maritime Academy and mistakenly believed that everyone who graduates from MMA is commissioned into the Navy, and that as such I wouldn't need to attend OCS, so my package was dropped from the board. I know, hard to believe, but that's what my OR said. He's since followed up with the Aviation community manager on it, and we stressed in my APSR that I am not currently a Midshipman or Officer. By the time I was notified of the PROREC-N status, I was out of time to retake the ASTB.

Thanks, that sounds about right.

Take July 22 and add 12 weeks... what date does that give you?
Aha, I see what you're saying. If they base it off of graduation date rather than when the class first convenes, then sure. Not how I would do it, but who gives a shit.
