Awesome thanks! And yes, I just noticed that and I'll update it now. I've also been hearing about the shortening of the program to 10 weeks. I imagine if it were to happen, it would go into affect at the end of the fiscal year along with the uniform changes.

No problem. I haven't seen discussion of the change to a 10 week program here on Air Warriors. I'm still searching for confirmation. Uniform changes? Are they getting rid of NWUs? Anything else?

I've read a couple articles about how the Navy is changing to NWU Type III. They have a "Digital Woodland" pattern.

First off, I was in this board and PRO-REC'd yes for SNA. I assume you were too. You may want to update your signature. My recruiter told me that I have to graduate from OCS by the end of the fiscal year, which is 01 OCT. If the program is still 12 weeks (I've heard it may have been shortened to 10 weeks), that puts my latest Newport arrival date NLT 01 July. I'll get my transcript mid-May, leaving the Navy four weeks to send me my orders, assuming they give me a couple week's notice.

They would prefer this FY, but this board selects for current and next FY, I would be prepared to go before July, but not surprised if you don't.

Really? Well that changes things. Is it even realistic that I'll get orders in the timeframe I mentioned, that being four weeks after I send my transcript? I thought I finally had some hard dates. It turns out I'm in purgatory like everyone else...

That 10 weeks is just a rumor.

Unless things have changed, when I was about to leave in December that was not the case, as our Class O's briefed us that a significant overhaul of the academic curriculum was underway and part of that was shortening the program to 10 weeks. It was not a question of if, but when.

The anxious wait continues for me as well.. We just have to focus on graduating first.

as long as you standby to standby you will be fine.
