People show up not knowing the Pledge? I'd drop kick someone to the face of they showed up at OCS not knowing that. Christ
You will be surprised. I am sure there will be candidates in your class who will not be prepared for OCS. Do yourself a favor and prepare so you don't end up in H-class. H-class sucks.

^^I was avoiding telling them that, some people are wary of posting names and assignments of AD servicemembers on here

Hey Guys,

I just got the official word on Friday that I'm going to be in the Jan 12th class. I got a last minute age waiver to go in as NFO. Looking forward to meeting all of you. I'm going to be driving to Newport on Saturday from the Southern MA area. If anyone in MA, CT, or RI needs a ride to OCS I would be more than happy to give you a ride. Good luck packing and getting ready! See you guys in a few days.

Spartan, that's all cool for you, but I have stuff to get down there in any case. If my wife weren't deploying and us being separated for awhile I wouldn't be so worried. The issue is finding pet friendly locations before the "PCS" season approaches. If you are prior or active you know what I mean if not, you will learn! Places go quick!
You won't get orders till week 11 and can't pcs w/o orders.

Just commissioned on Friday. Good luck to you all. Just work hard be LOUD! Know your knowledge so you don't have to worry about studying during the week and a half of RLP prep. Take OCS chow by chow. Don't worry or stress about anything other than the event in front of you (i.e. Flight physicals you don't hear till your a candio). You have great class team that is going to push you, stress you and make you question whether you really want to be there (that's their job). Make sure you go in with a clear head and not having stress from things back home. Indoc week is going to be tough just know that many before you have made it through, ultimately just focus on learning to become a Naval Officer. I can tell you first hand that there is not a better feeling than reaching the end and taking your oath in front of your family and friends. People will show up unprepared, quit and will stay at OTCN for weeks waiting to process out and you can see the regret on their face. Don't let that be you. You don't control much while at OCS so just focus on doing your best and always improving, class team will see that trust me. Work hard and you will all be fine. Congrats on your acceptance and enjoy your time at OCS.
