I can't imagine ever needing to do 200 sit-ups especially not for a PRT. If you can do 100 in 2 minutes you will most likely max out your score depending on age and sex. just my 2 cents

Just called my OR, same situation as many of you, my finsel is awaiting one final signature. He doesn't forsee my date changing, so I'm fairly sure I'm here to stay.

Agreed, I just chose that workout because it goes well with my pushup routine.

Also more helpful stuff that I didn't think to share, but might as well.

I guess my main concern is being switched or not being given a FINSEL in enough advance time for me to plan accordingly. :(

So I began studying a while back and I've already got down the enlisted and officer ranks in both the navy and marines, learned the code of conducts, and can recount the general orders of the sentry. Currently I'm writing down a list of the chain of command, but getting current information is tricky stuff. For any priors or just anyone who happens to know, how important are the below items that are listed in the gouge on the ocs site?

Fifteen Leadership Traits
All the songs
Warrant Officers Ranks
Levels of Warfare.

And yes, I've already done some prior research and have heard multiple opinions, but I'd like to hear what you guys think personally?

Wow! Good for you.. That is pretty intense pre-study memorization. When you say you have the enlisted and officer ranks down, what did you study for that?
As far as I know.. the 15 Leadership Traits don't come into play until the final inspection. Not sure of the rest. But, my friend that went through it did mention that you will have lots of studying and inbetween time during the first 4 weeks to get this above gouge learned as well.

I used the gouge on the ocs site, got a couple of flashcards, wrote down the branch, officer or enlisted, and the number of how high up they were. I would quiz myself to the point where I knew them by second nature.

Example of a Flashcard
Front: Navy O10
Back: Admiral

Front: Marines O10
Back: General

Navy ranks were easy to memorize, now the Marines on the other hand took me a while.

So just a heads up.. my recruiter had sent me gouge to study about a month ago.. but yesterday sent me an updated version. He is in close contact with a new ensign and she said the following has changed:

1-Some class teams care about the type of underwear (avoid bringing anything other than black, white, and navy blue).
2-No longer speak in third person; use "I" instead of "Indoctrination Candidate".
3-Pass in Review hasn't been done in recent classes.

I'm pissed I cant bring all of my neon striped underwear.
They use "I" now?! OCS has changed I know after my class they stopped using poopie suits and chrome domes.

Also... I am going to create a Facebook Group for this class. Let me know your details and I will add you to the group! :) -- You can private message me on here if you like. Ideally, will add people to the group once you get your confirmed FINSEL for this class group.
