Hello all, I am a non-prior attending OCS on 3 Jan 2016. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Quick question for the group: Have you all received the graduation date of 15 April 2016? If so, does any one know what we are going to be doing during the gap between 26 March 2016 (i.e. 12 weeks after the start date) and graduation?

Graduation date is 25MAR

I had heard that OCS had done away with speaking in the third person, but this suggest it's still a thing.

Hey Ya'll,
I signed my documents yesterday and got a copy of my final select letter! Hooyah! I had some questions that my OR did not know the answers to. Maybe you all have encountered these and know anything.
Can we enroll in any health insurance coverage after enlisting, but before 03Jan? There's COBRA coverage from separating from my job but its stupid expensive.
Is there a way to get an ID before 03Jan? I am moving back home before we ship and used to workout on base with my dependent's ID, but no longer have it. It would be nice to have a weight room to use before we go.
He said he would forward my orders to me when he received them, but did not know how to log into (or create an account) for the NSIPS (?) site. Does anyone have any experience with NSIPS and/or printing orders before we ship?

You aren't actually gained into the system and entitled to anything prior to reporting. You're in a holding pattern, essentially. Once gained, all of the things you mentioned will be in force.
