John I will let you know as soon as I hear something back. Regardless of if we can swap or not, thank you. If Feb 8th is my time then hot damn but the next 4 weeks are going to be off the chain with prep and getting things in order. March would sure make life a little sweeter haha.

@Farmer Bob You might be shocked at how quickly you can improve your conditioning. I suggest doing volume training for pushups and situps throughout the day. Run a meduim intensity mornig 2-4 miles and a 15 minute HIIT in the evening, 5 days a week.

@Lancerr1 well I appreciate your willingness to trade classes with me. My recruiter talked to the program manager and was told that I need to class up asap because there aren't going to be many more NFO classes for this fiscal year. If I wait I will have to reapply. Smells like a load of something but if I had to wait another year I'd go bald. However thank you for the gesture!

@Gator Guard my life is now going to be devoted to conditioning. 2/3 a days for this pie loving bastard haha

Diet, exercise and desire. Those 3 things are going to get me there.

I currently work with a special forces unit and fitness is our second job. To me, the best way to prepare is perform slow push-ups (which will be significantly harder but better to build the right muscle and endurance) and Army-style sit-ups. Practicing these for a time will over prepare you for Navy standards. Running is like pull ups; the only way to get better is to do it. Work on running fast paced intervals at an 800 yd distance (3-4) minutes rest....
