Got my CAC today and off to INDOC this weekend.

Spoke with my CO today and the NOSC this morning. My first drill weekend for INDOC will be in February. Hopefully i can schedule the DCOIC course that weekend. Cheers!

I know which unit I'm going to. I received my welcome aboard letter but have not been gained yet. I am prior enlisted so not sure if I will attend INDOC.

I made it clear when i had my interview at my current defense contracting company 3.5 years ago i was applying to be a Naval Officer in the reserves they didn't blink an eye

So for example, you get hired and then a few weeks later you say "oh ya btw i am in the reserves"? Seems like that company would instantly lose trust in you after that...

Thank you. I think for now I am going to focus on getting Commissioned and get to my unit and "learn the ropes" of being a Naval Officer.

I don't think it's possible to switch Lol. But seriously take the Commission or you'll never get another chance, at least in the IWC. Best community hands down in the USN. It still hasn't fully sunk in that this is really happening!

My goal is to become a fully qualified 1835 with my IWC pin. After that I will reassess what my options are. Looking forward and excited

@bubblehead I am very excited for INTEL - 1835 but I'm thinking about doing a change of designator to IP after I complete my required training. From your experience, how long do you think it will take to be eligible to apply for the change of designator?

Thank you. My processor said they are going to find me a billet and a unit to drill from. Figured it wouldn't hurt to see if I can drill with an old shipmate not to far away. Excited and looking forward to a new challenge

We didn't drill together. We sailed the 7 seas! (active duty sailors don't "drill") ;)

Who is they? Processor said he didn't see the results and my recruiter apparently went back to his unit, so it's probably the last thing he is worried about

Well at the very least there is still hope for those of us who haven't heard anything lol

Update: I emailed my processor and he said does not see that the results were posted.

Correct I am a prior active duty Operations Specialist. I'm currently a government contractor. I've done all I can. Guess will find out next week

This may actually be true, if for example, say they only had 80 or so kits submitted for this board and select around 50 then that would actually make sense. I echo the fact that my NRD only submitted few a kits according to the processor. From what I'm hearing on this thread not many kits were...

Yes. Kit was submitted on Aug 23. Highly Recommended.
