Rumors that were addressed during one of our Q&A briefs with Capt Savageaux (CO) towards the end of July 2017 at OCS:
OCS is not shortening to 10 weeks anytime in the near future.
"Fast Cruise" is not going anywhere (so "enjoy" it!).
For anyone about to go to OCS... be advised that overall fitness standards are increasing. During events like RLP, there are staff members going through hatches and just pulling people who they think aren't putting out enough (the last indoc class while I was there had 28 people fail the first...
Well they said I had an N3M letter sent with my kit that cleared me for SNA. Maybe it was the problem, maybe it wasn't. I'm not that unwilling to take NFO so I've made peace with my fate.
Same thing happened to me. I applied as SNA-only but got a prorec N for SNA and a prorec Y for NFO. My recruiter confirmed with stern confidence that he did not put my package through with NFO and the processor confirmed. I don't have any other detractors (i.e. criminal records, medical issues...
Prorec No SNA. This is some bullshit. I'll take NFO (and I'm not upset about taking NFO... it's a great job) but I don't understand what happened with SNA. I didn't even get tabled. My OR says I would have to wait 6 months to resubmit for SNA (cuz of the prorec N). See y'all in Newport
Is it just me or are the stats from everyone in this April board a lot higher than Feb/Nov....

Note, the previous boards in November and July both took 2 weeks to post results (granted, Nov board was affected by Thanksgiving). The 3-day Feb board was one of the lucky ones.
Work, check airwarriors, binge watch Shameless on Netflix, check airwarriors, throw in a re-run of Top Gun here and there, gym, check airwarriors, sleep (with one eye watching airwarriors)
That's what's freaking me out. Although he double checked with the processor last week and she said it definitely went to the pilot board. I am in a glass case of emotion.
@RUFiO181 , just wondering if you know how an SNA-only package would have made it in front of the NFO board? Did they do that on purpose to give more NFO offers or would there've had to have been a mistake (i.e. my package went through as NFO instead of SNA). A Captain from HQ in Tennessee just...
Just talked with an NFO currently in school down in Pensacola. Says that it'll be damn near impossible to switch from NFO to pilot later down the road because the navy is so far behind on NFOs, it's scary. FYI
This might just be me losing my wits from the trials of anticipation... but is it at all possible that they're waiting till they see how many applicants accept NFO offers before they decide how many SNA Prorecs to give? Or simply holding off on SNA results to make us think long and hard about...
I'm an SNA-only applicant and just got a Prorec Y for NFO... my OR says they're still waiting for the pilot results. Silver lining: I know my package at least made it to the board! Let the wait continue.
My recruiter and processor said to expect it by the end of the week or possibly early next week. Just keep yourselves busy and let the phone call surprise you.
Did they DQ at OCS because they were tested again and failed? Because I don't have eye issues (i have perfect depth perception). I just didn't get tested at MEPS...
Moment of truth here soon... I don't know how he would have gotten my package to the board then but when I got a new OR after my original OR rotated out, he confirmed that my package was sent to the board. I hope they didn't change it to NFO....
I had that done to just give my OR something to use to prove to MEPS that I have depth perception so they would allow me to come get tested if I have to. But he said he got it pushed through so we'll see...
It was a clusterf*** at MEPS. They were just pushing everyone through the eye exam room as fast as a possible and it was just a "do-this, do-that, get-out, no-questions-asked" sorta deal. My OR called me after we submitted my kit and said that I have no depth perception and I asked how they...
