anyone have issues as service transfer that only has 2808/2807 and dental from that service? Im told they just recreate your record at OCS..

So I am a inner-service transfer and the AF did a flight physical on me, im guessing USN will throw that to the side? In a nutshell, The physical we all do (whether MEPS or service MD), is just to get us to OCS and then they re-do it all (labs, hearing, eyes, etc) again for NAMI? Just wondering...

Whats with the waivers? Are these requested by OCS after the flight physical? I thought everyone was cleared before OCS..

@Igloojam is that from OCS experience? It would mirror what my OR & OP told me. I was in a smaller unit when I separated - didn't get a freaking DD256 much less my medical record. I was told not to worry about it because the Navy will start a new one at OCS.

ok, I got with @NavyOffRec. Apparently it is not unique for other service to arrive with a short record. I just don't know how to run down a record the MC lost. We will see. Do you still participate or are you place in H-Company? Also, for those that failed flight physical for whatever reason...

My Processor said if you passed a flight physical before submitting youll be fine. He was a pilot and has been involved for the last 5 years. Point? Dont freak out, keep in shape and dont go skydiving..

yay! so excited for sleep deprived flight physical at OCS. Wonder why the AF made me do one before submitting a package for NFO. Time to use the search function to find out what that's all about...what if you fail it? Is it re-designation or the boot?

Flight physicals should be done before the FINSEL, no? Wouldn't make much sense doing it at OCS. Possibly at the INDOC school before flight school (after OCS). Shoot, Navy needs SWOs. @RUFiO181 may know more - but I'll guess he'll tell us to ask our Processor/Recruiter haha.

Agreed. I'm AF intel (8yr Marine Active) and they (and USN) have pilot shortage. But it is not like the USN cut the quality of applicants - check the board and you can see the scores,GPAs, etc. are competitive with private sector. Just some smart and patriotic folks that want to serve. Semper...

hey guys, since we are all on here anyways..anybody ever get a confirmation from an earlier post on whether or not the board was pushed to today? I asked my recruiters, they heard nothing.

haha, I am the same way! My recuriter even said that I'd hear that results were back from here faster than she would haha. I think she was kidding but it speaks to the involvement. :)

Whatever happens, the Navy has some quality applicants by the looks of this site. Unfortunately, we probably are not the bulk of the applicants so we probably will not all get selected but, whomever does, the Navy will be better off no doubt.
