I did not get picked up for 1830. I got selected for SNA in the November SNA/SNFO board.

Good stuff. Not everyone gets a recruiter that is competent. (My process has been delayed a few times since the beginning because the guy did not know what he was talking about and would say things counter to what I knew to be true.) Good luck on the board! Hopefully we hear this week.

The other issue with your idea, beyond how the board will view your "BS classes", is that I think your Undergraduate GPA is set unless you go retake some classes at the university that granted you the degree. Unless you can retroactively transfer those community college credits to that...

It seems like you already know the answer to this. Your ASTB score is good, so they might overlook it. You would be better off taking classes that are relevant to the Navy though. Why not take something that will be worth your time and money and just work a little harder to get the A?

Thanks for the response NicNak! In terms of comfy socks, what kind of socks do they issue for PT? Are they ankle height or lower? I don't want to get there with a bunch of nice running socks just to find out I cant wear them.

I thought that was the case as well until the November SNA/NFO results for us civilians came out before active duty people. Regardless, the last intel board I applied to took 3 weeks. Hopefully because Christmas is coming up it wont take much over 2 or 2 1/2 weeks. Good Luck everyone!

When did they start your security clearance? TS SCI takes a minute to complete and I think they need it to be approved before they give you a final select and OCS date. I could be wrong though...

This girl was about 95 lbs from the look of her. Also, I know that at certain weights (slightly too high or too low) they make you sign a waiver saying you might not clear the airplane in the event of having to eject. A girl at my Officer Selection Office had to sign one back in the day.

I am 6'3" and I passed my flight physical back in undergrad. Just remember when they say "sit up straight" don't actually stretch your spine as straight as possible. That being said, I know two of the ten candidates who went to the physical with me were DQd for not weighing enough and the butt...

I just spoke with my buddy who graduated the other week. He told me that his flight physical was done the day after checking in to OCS and you do it on about 2 hours of sleep. This should be good!

Yup, that is exactly how it worked when I was in the program. It was a nice little government paid for vacation to Pensacola for three days! Luckily my brother was in flight school down there so the other candidates and I got to hit the bars on the last night after the physical. I doubt this...

As far as the timing of the flight physical, for the Marines (back when I was in undergrad) we did it before they would give you a flight contract. I have heard from some friends who did Navy flight that they did theirs at the end of OCS during the Candio phase when things not as hectic.

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed on the forum and the answer is "it all depends on the needs of the Navy." If there are SWO (or other job) spots they need filled, they will re-designate.

I have Intel as my first choice and SNA as my second. I have a Master of International Affairs, so Intel would be ideal. But I had a flight contract with the Marines back in undergrad and I have always liked the idea of flying.. I am more focused on being a Naval Officer first! Job in the Navy...

Yes there are from what I have seen. If there is not one for your date (once you get it) make one. However, seeing as we don't have our class dates yet...
