Thats too cool. A buddy of mine is coming up on his ENJJPT board at AF OTS and he sent me a picture of their most recent drops... One kid went straight to the F22, a bunch to F15 and 16, and quite a few to 35 now.

I couldn't tell on those. When Im at signature I see XL and VN and occasionally EN. Lot of T-45 and T-6 have been there lately too.

Not sure this'll fill the void, but if any of you guys are in Austin, there is an entire squadron of T38's shooting high speed approaches at Bergstrom... Looked like Red Flag when I was driving into the city. Not the navy, but eh, still pretty awesome.

My bad, I think I misspoke. It sounded to me from whom I spoke to that they were checking eligibility, not doing the actual clearance.

I have it on good authority we are going to find out before Friday, so get pumped. The board happened, and it sounds like they are security checking those selected before releasing decisions.

Yeah it was pretty shortly after the submission deadline that a buddy of mine who worked there let me know. I assume if they did that after the submission deadline then they would have gone ahead with board selection. I think we are good to go, albeit understandably anxious.

The Air Force pilot board I got in on had a 6-9 week waiting period to hear back once the board convened... That was a long awaited phone call! The board met in January and I heard back in March. I'll take this!! :D

Yeah it sounds like they will get those guys OCS dates ASAP. My recruiter said he has seen FinSel come back for age critical in 2 weeks, so I would think they will try and hurry it up for y'all.

So I took the AFOQT last August, and I am already a pilot, so most of the aviation/joystick content was second nature. I am also a mechanical engineer, so that gave me a leg up on the math and the mechanical. Ultimately I spent a lot of time on quizlet reviewing the nautical terms and such...

Does the Navy test color vision monocularly, or with both eyes together for the flight physical? Curious about this for the PIP plates

Hey guys, John here. Was picked up as an OTS Pilot Select in March of this year, and just graduated from UT Austin with a Mech Engr degree. Went to Randolph for FC1 in March and got 70/70 on my CCT. They let me retest and my scores were: 70/90, 90/70 and 70/70 again. Unfortunately after that...

Really appreciate all the help this forum has provided. Took the AFOQT and got 99/99/99 and rest 98. Hope my preparation for that will aid in my testing on Thursday. Best, John
