Checking in from April board. Surface Warfare community.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know when we should expect to start seeing direct deposit coming in if we are non-prior? Just trying to square all the financial stuff within the next month before I leave.

I envy those of you who have always been distance runners. I've always been a sprinter so the progression of changing that has been an interesting journey.

If it makes you feel any better, I made the same mistake. But consistency is key. Slowly but surely you'll get those legs conditioned. I've never been a long distance person, but I've been able to slowly but surely creep my distance up.

Received my FINSEL today. I'll be reporting 02 October. I go to Kansas City next week to sign everything and take the oath.

How's every ones PT times and scores looking?

They give you a month to two months notice of your date. So the likelihood of getting the FINSEL and date both in October is extremely unlikely. I'm just not looking forward to the potential of PT at 0500 in Newport during the winter, but beggars can't be choosers, all part of the job.

Talked with my recruiter today, due to the end of the fiscal year and there not being any money as a result, he strongly felt it was more likely for us having a date in October and/or receiving our dates in October.

News to me then, last I heard there wasn't any April SWO's who had August orders. I never hear from my recruiter so I literally only get updates from here. But in that case I know I'm not going in August.

I'm part of the April SWO board and we have no idea what is going on, so I understand 100%. We're all just under the assumption we won't be reporting until October. At least on the SWO side, everything is so backed up that we're all just in an epic game of hurry up and wait.

Anxiously waiting. Taking a cut on my work hours to start in on the two-a-days to become fully prepared.
