I agree 100%. My first year applying, I was really nervous during the two boards. Applying year after year has given me more confidence and now I look forward to the interviews. I feel that going through this process 4 times now has helped me in other aspects of my career as well.

FY18 options are out. Unfortunately OCEANO isn't an option. My package last year and the one I'm working on this year is tailored around my passion and work I've done in that field. Unsure what to do now.

Yeah it is a bit odd that your date is still from July. You never know, you might get an updated date right before the board. I wouldn't look too much into it.

For people who have been through the process before, I currently have Package Received, Assigned to Reviwer, and Intial Review all 1 out of 1. Is there anything additional that occurs or am I set? I login a couple times a week to see if they post anything new.

Congrats! How does that work since your an officer canidate? I'd imagine you would eventually get paid for E-7 if your still in college by that time. For some reason I had always thought they could tell via an eval or some other way that you're in STA-21 so even if they wanted to pick you...

I wasn't eligible yet, all in for STA-21 results in October. Like I've been saying, hopefully they make more then 1 for Oceanography!
