Thanks for the info. As far as form goes, will hands be spread slightly outwards from the body so its more of a chest press or will they tight into the body so to use mostly triceps? I ask since the instructional videos and pictures posted on the Newport Facebook page of candidates doing...

Also, is the push up done feet together or apart? The navy PRT instruction video on youtube has feet apart but from recent pictures at OCS they are all feet together. Thanks

Hi, I need some help understanding the IST procedure please. I know an individual must score at least a "satisfactory" score in order to pass. Is the time limit on each event (push up and curl up) 2 minutes without rest? My age bracket is 20-24 male so for example I would need to do 37 push ups...

Thanks for the confirmation Splonk; gives me some peace of mind knowing I can pass that test! Speaking for myself here this is exactly what happened at MEPS for me. The guy didn't even realize he was supposed to turn on the daylight lamp that the color test was sitting right underneath (duh).

This is the test I took at MEPS and am sure its the same one as Brook described. I had practiced using Ishihara brand tests at different doctors before going through MEPS but this test was a bit harder for me. I think its designed to be harder and more accurate to screen color problems: So...

I think we have the same OR. I filled out the 4 documents last week and just playing the purgatory waiting game now.

Hi, I just signed the e-QIP investigation papers yesterday. My recruiter says earliest for my FINSEL is end of Dec/early Jan. Is this a normal timeline? Just nervous now that some of you are already getting your FINSEL so quickly. Thanks

Hi, Old thread but wanted to confirm some of the points mentioned are still accurate -If you fail one of the accepted depth perception tests at the OCS & NAMI medical, is it at the doctors discretion to administer one of the other 2 accepted tests? Or are they required to? -As the last post...
