Yeah the back up appears to be hitting the SWO community pretty bad. December SWOs just recently rec'vd their FINSELs (6 month wait). This in stark contrast with other designations that have reported receiving their FINSELs two to three months after their respective boards.

Thanks for sharing that info man. A few other plp have mentioned similar conversations with their ORs...so its nice to have more corroborative information. Having some sense of the OCS timeline is kinda nice. Helps with planning and setting goals (ie fitness, studying, financial, apartment leases)

I believe this is where the 34% selection rate for the December board came from. I missed this board by a week, so I was really invested in tracking its progress. With that being said, I echo everyone's optimism for a favorable selection rate this time around.

Definitely a relief, thanks sharing your insight. My biggest reservation about Army OCS is the uncertainty relating to your job. The Navy is nice because you apply for the job that you want. If it doesn't work out, well you can always apply again.

Hey man, I applied to Army OCS and Navy OCS. It is definitely possible. Some people gotten negative feedback from other recruiters form different branches, so I get the sense it depends on the recruiters temperament, personality, etc.

I've read posts from recruiter that describe the OAR score as something that gets your application "seen by the board", whereas your GPA/major are scrutinized more heavily. Would you agree with that thought?

Haha yeah man, its kind of a mixed blessing. Just glad that I know what my status is after two weeks of suspense. On a side note, seems like application cutoffs/deadlines are really hazy, no one really knows when they are. Putting that in a back pocket.

I hear ya. Im out of Salt Lake City and I have not heard of anything either. From my understanding, some ORs are able to pull results from SharePoint. Mine is cannot - but perhaps its something helpful to bring up if you haven't.
