13-15 grad here. You can start talking after 6th week now. You also start wearing khakis after 6th week now, which in my opinion is stupid. OCS is constantly changing, but I guarantee it will still always suck.

Go travel, but be prepared to drop everything and come back in the case that you do receive a letter sooner than expected. Have everything prepared for OCS before you leave just in case. Better safe than sorry.

Wait until about a day or 2 after you see active duty folks posting their results. Non-priors take longer. And don't freak if you see other non-priors posting results before you. NRDs get the results at different times. Most people heard on the Monday after, I got the call on that Tuesday.

Not sure how it works when you're in school. For graduates that are selected, upon PROREC - Y you wait for an undetermined period of time for the FINSEL that includes an OCS date. That is what this thread is for, selected applicants who are waiting for their FINSEL.

The fact is that it HAS happened, or it WILL happen. Optimism is key. Think of it like this, it was closed for weather reasons, so the board committee just got a 4 day weekend. Happy board means happy applicants ;)

Pretty sure it goes like this. Your OR works at the NRD. He/she submits your kit to their processor at the NRD. Then the processor sends it to NRC where it waits for the board to be seen, as long as there are no issues with it.
