I was selected SNA with 45 5-7-6 and 3.5 gpa back in August board in 2019. Board met in August 13th and I heard on august 23rd. I was in OCS in Nov 3 parked by Callaghan hall getting yelled at in the cold. Most fun I ever had . Hearing loss is what ended my career in the Navy.

I don’t think any of you will be waiting 2-3 weeks. My OR said the same and I heard 10 days after. Some people heard as quick as 3 days after because they posted their news on the thread. It all depends on your NRD number. Some NRD’s get everything quicker and some take longer.

You can request some time if you need it. If you want an earlier date, you will get it if they have it available.

- You should have put SNA, man. I got SNA with lower scores than yours, 5/7/6. Talk to your OR to reapply. I have been told by a commander nobody is gonna hold grudges against you if you don’t want NFO. Long story short, if you can’t live driving back seat, then simply don’t take it.

I got selected SNA but I never put my name on that spreadsheet. There are a few other guys from our fb group whose usernames I don’t see on there.

There is no more spatial apperception. Now you just do the tracking with the stick and throttle. And yes you have to do the UAV. Be careful with those. 3 of those wrong resulted in a 6. For pilots they dont really look at that but try to be in the 7’s for the AQR AND PFAR.

Most likely you were prepped better than me that’s why. I also had 40 minutes of sleep and that’s it before the ASTB.

This is not completely accurate since the real UAV portion boxes will be slightly misplaced and you will get 2-3 wrong until you figure out. However, this is a very good tutorial to give you an idea on how to work it.

So, there is a trick with questions like this. For example you can do X(0.035) = 6440. When you take 0.035 to the other side of the = then you divide 6440/0.035, you will get 184,000. Email me for some links to learn these.

Sorry, it’s 1/3, not 2/3. 20 minutes converted into a fraction is 1/3 because 20 minutes is 1/3 of 60 minutes since 20+20+20 = 60.

1200 seconds divided by 60 is 20 minutes. 20 minutes is 2/3 of an hour. You can multiply 630 by 1/3 and get the answer of 210 nm.

What other contributing factors do you think did not get you selected because I have the same ASTB score with a 43 in OAR. If you didn’t get selected, then my hopes just went down.

- You have the same exact ASTB as I do, except +6 points more on the OAR. Apparently the aviation calculator is no longer being used according to my OR to check where that puts me.

What I did for the dichotic listening was whenever I had the target ear, I would remove the over-the-ear headphone from the other ear completely so I could only listen to the numbers in the target ear. I think that helped quite a bit. And then I would switch left, right.

I have no idea what that means nor am I gonna try to deal with it.

Hahah I hope so. I hope even more you're not being sarcastic. The API doc told me the flight physicals at OCS and API are like MEPS but more detailed and more eye tests. So honestly I'm always worried at the back of my mind.
