Got my orders today =)

For us active duty: Talked to AE2 over there, he said he's trying to finish writing all of the orders today, we should see them around Wednesday of next week.

Already signed and sent off my service agreement, and the email I got from NRC said my orders had been request by them. Plus my NC is garbage...

I've been trying to call the AE2 that's supposed to be hooking us up with orders but he's never there. I emailed him yesterday so hopefully I have a reply tomorrow... Been doing CWTPI all week =\

So I'm just jumping on the thread now. I applied for STA-21 a couple years ago and wasn't selected and got my bachelors, so now I'm routing my OCS package for SNA and SNFO. Here's some stats for reference if/when I get selected eventually lol. AT1(AW) (9 years service) SNA/SNFO application...

So, I was non-selected for STA-21 NFO this October, and have since plugged away at my bachelors and will graduate in a couple months. I scored an 8/7/7/68 on the ASTB and felt it was pretty competitive for STA-21, but I know OCS can be a little more competitive, especially for active duty. So...

I might be wrong here, but a Sailor still has to apply for orders even if he's awaiting STA-21 action. That Sailor though must not detach before the STA-21 results are posted and must keep his next command and detailer informed.

Man, I was so hoping for results to come out today... The internet on the Nimitz is ridiculously slow. Takes me 2-30 minutes to reload this page! It would be pretty great though if results came out tomorrow on my birthday and my name was on it, however unlikely that might be.

If managed to pass the time with a 12hr flight schedule while underway... Also, those who make it, remember that this year will more than likely end up as the most competitive year for STA-21 to date; be proud of that fact.

I'm going to have to disagree....our experience from the enlisted side IS unreplacable by a Naval Academy graduate, non-prior OCS, or NROTC graduate. There's just parts of the Navy they will never see, experience, and understand in the same way as we do.

I would much rather be an alternate than not selected at all. There's always the possibility of a primary select not making the cut through medical.

Willy P, don't let your ASTB scores worry you. When I talked to a local officer recruiter recently, she said 6's and an OAR in the upper 50's was competitive for pilot... on the other hand, us NFO hopefuls need to be in the 7's with low 60's OAR. Of course this was just their numbers for FY12...

Only problem I have: I have more credits than most schools will allow to transfer in.
