    DCOIC instruction vs ODS/OCS

Hey guys, I'm a newly selected Navy ENS coming from the Army ( Prior Chief Warrant Officer 2) Pilot and I'm wondering if I need to go to ODS or OIS if I've already completed the Warrant Officer course. I assume no. I have a lot of unit resources but I figure I'd try here first.

    Army pilot to Naval Reserve?

Hey guys, here's another brain buster: Does my Army Flight pay clock continue in the Navy Reserves? What about the so called bonuses for pilots that the Army so willingly decided not to offer to their pilots?

    Army pilot to Naval Reserve?

This seems like a perfect place to ask for help! I'm a recently HSC 85 PSB selectee and currently an active duty Army WO. My recruiter has no idea how to deal with a active duty applicant, let alone a Army one. I'm lost when it comes to what I'm turning in paperwork for and what I'm waiting...

JAN/FEB/MAR 2014 Rolling SNA and SNFO Boards

Yes to clarify when I said "walk into OCS" I ment putting in a OCS packet. NavyOFFrec, I do have my degree and I am 33 years old. I have about 10 years of federal service towards retirement and about 1200 hours as a H60 Instructor pilot. Do I have any possibility to get into the Navy to...

Well everyone I got the official letter "You have been selected..............................................as a alternate for the DCA program" I'm pretty happy I made it through 2nd time around, alas Ive have hit the 10 year TIS mark. Correct me if I'm wrong, the alternate selections only...

Army Aviator (Warrant Officer) to Marine Aviator?

Which way is better because I'm in navy mode with a dash of army lingo?

Army Aviator (Warrant Officer) to Marine Aviator?

That sounds accurate, so not technically a no go but they might as well say NO

Army Aviator (Warrant Officer) to Marine Aviator?

The WOFT program is definitely a good deal. Flying experience is absolutely where the army excels at, the only problem here is that there's a definite line of segregation between Regular O grades and Warrant Officers that is almost comparable to the Enlisted. A grown adult can only be treated...

Transfer to Coast Guard before/during/after Primary

I need some advice? Should I request the conditional release before my Army AD service obligation is up? Is it worth even trying? I'm halfway through 6 years, but this my only shot into the Coast Guard DCA program? Please advise......

    Aviator progression in the Navy

I would testify that being a warrant officer aviator in the army is miles ahead of being a RLO, in terms of being a pilot. The other branches probably fit right in the middle of the spectrum which is still better than being a platoon leader or a staffer. That's just my opinion.
  23. 60dude

Transfer to Coast Guard before/during/after Primary

SarDaddy, you have just lit the light at the end of the tunnel. Do you happen to know where he sent that conditional release to? Or maybe you can just point me in the right direction

    OCS vs WOFT?

Yeah I agree, I'm a AD WO and ill tell you if you didn't get WOFT and your going to continue with the army well you'll get flight school as a RLO but............your going to be a pilot in training for the rest of your career. It's impossible to get the same flight time as a WO. Not much...

former Army CWO Blackhawk pilot seeking reserve commission

Nice, 29 is it then. Well is it a bad time for me to inform you that I'm 31. I'm guessing reserves is it, no matter if I'm already a rated aviator or not.
  30. 60dude

former Army CWO Blackhawk pilot seeking reserve commission

Hey what's the age requirement and years in service for active duty transfer to the navy? Waivers? I'll go to OCS and go to flight school again, don't care. I want AD if I can get it.
  31. 60dude

former Army CWO Blackhawk pilot seeking reserve commission

Last time I checked being above the rank of CW2 and so on, you are a commissioned officer. I'm in my case I have a 4 year degree and don't care if I have to do OCS as long as I get in and go 60's. Truth be told VR-57 doesn't sound so bad either.

Freaking hilarious, Canidate! Next time I'm in San Diego I'm just going to stop by 85 to ask how to join the unit. I'm sure they'll point me in the right direction right. Oh and I'm really hoping the Army will let me go with the down sizing and all.
