    now selecting V-22's?

Squid, With the storm and various other bad weather days, instructors cancelling, etc., I'm only on FAM 7. It should pick up eventually though, so I may be done in February but I doubt it will be any sooner. How about you, where are you now? -Matt

    now selecting V-22's?

I was told today by one of the Capt's at the Blue Angels' airshow that two SNA's selected the Osprey out of Corpus last week. Can anyone shed any light on the pipeline? The rumor is abbreviated syllabus at both South Whiting and Corpus in 57's and 44's? Any info would be appreciated. I...

    New to VT-2

Well I'm pretty much in line with everyone else here, but they started my systems class the Tuesday after we finished API. That probably made the biggest difference between us. I had no lag time. How's Corpus? Hopefully you guys found a good place. Good squadron/instructor (you don't have...

    Navy to Marine

I'm just in API, but one of the instructors mentioned yesterday that they are looking at lat-transferring 88 Ensigns into the Marine Corps pipeline. One would assume that they would have to go to TBS, but we all know what assuming get's you. Anyway, just the latest that I've heard. -Matt

    Anyone else reporting in June?

I class up on the 11th (this Friday). Got the OK from NOMI and completed the PFT last week. The three of us starting this week should be just about the last from Fox Co at TBS (though there are still a few Echo guys waiting to start). To Farkle and the other Alpha Co guys, if you have any...

    Marine IFS

I am post-TBS and completing IFS at Quantico now. As far as I know, if you complete IFS after TBS and decide you don't want to fly the process is basically the same if you were pre-TBS. You would work with the folks at TBS to get a ground slot. That is what IFS is for. The Marine Corps would...

    Ground to Air?

I just graduated Fox Co and we had something like 17 SNA slots to be filled by MOS selection. They pretty much gave them to anyone that was physically qualified. I know that is not the norm to have so many slots, but it just shows that it's possible to switch once you get to TBS. -Matt

Any need for a laptop in class?

I am heading to API in April and wanted to know if there is any need for a laptop to take to class in API/Primary/Advanced? I have a good desktop at home, but is there any reason to have a portable one? (tried a search for this ?, but I didn't find anything addressing directly) Thanks, Matt

    WHERE TO LIVE AT TBS?

Just to clear it up, I am currently at TBS, married and live on base. There are about four of ous who live on base, but the majority of the LT's live off (those who are married). As for off base, Stafford (off of Garrisonville rd) is probably the most popular location due to it's proximity to...

    OCC183 June class scrapped entirely??

I know that there are many rumors floating around, and as a fellow OCC hopeful I have probably contributed to some of them. Christian Officers

what's up with class 183 for OCC ( not PLC) ?

According to my OSO about 3 weeks ago the word was that 183 was only open for female candidates, but that has now changed. He says that the class is open to all groups as of now. I'm certainly keeping my ear to the ground, because obviously my hope as an SNA candidate is that 183 will have...
