Is it possible to get PRK after getting accepted into OCS?

Some people get selected before they go to MEPS. If that happens then you can get selected with your eyes the way they are. Unfortunately you would be dq'd at meps. Im not sure how it would work for you getting PRK done. I would probably just get prk now or as soon as possible, that way you...

1001 questions (and answers) concerning BDCP

NavyOffRec is right by all means. My recruiter (not sure how accurate) said that if you have the right cards they might accept you on a case by case basis! Do what NavyOffRec says, but if you think you got it, you might! never stop trying!

1001 questions (and answers) concerning BDCP

I thought the same thing, I applied at the beginning of my Junior year and got selected SNA, on non-paid status. Just depends on what kind of package you have and whatever your recruited chooses to do.

    PRK recovery question

2 weeks elapsed since surgery. Seeing at least 20/25 both eyes, good night vision and ghosting is very rare. Still getting some tired eyes but to my understanding that's normal. Been doing some civilian flying the last couple days as part of my degree and I am seeing better than I ever did...

    PRK recovery question

Went in to get the bandage contacts out and got most of my questions answered. Vision is getting better daily and night vision is already much clearer. I just need to be a little more patient. Haha, I appreciate the words, yahoo or not.

    PRK recovery question

question for all who have had PRK. I am two days post-op and my night vision isn't terrible but I definitely notice some flight halo and starbursting, will this go away? I am probably just psyching myself out but I was just wondering what some of your experiences were.

    Jan/Feb/Mar Boards

I have been hearing that BDCP has been canceled but they are offering it to a few candidates whom they see fit. If you put in for pilot in this last board but have not graduated yet are you going to be considered for BDCP or an early DA for pilot? Is DA even the right term? My recruiter...

    depth perception problem

Got it. Do you by chance know if you can take different versions of a depth perception test? Again, I have no problems with any of the book and glasses type tests but the digital box of doom at MEPS was a struggle, do they use the same at OCS?

    depth perception problem

Hello All, I too failed the Depth Perception test at MEPS. I then went to a civilian doctor to get a full comprehensive eye exam and passed the depth perception with 20 seconds of arc, better than the minimum of 40. My question is, has the navy been known to accept this with my package as...
