Holy cow, VIP OCS huh? Is that how things are nowadays? I went through a bit over 4 years ago and we had one male head with a bunch of showers. All our room had was a rack, a desk and a locker.

It's up to you but honestly, I wouldn't overthink it. You'll be fine man. Either one makes sense in a way, but don't forget that OCS is only 12 weeks long, of which the last 3 you'll be able to eat all you want and you are only really "food deprived" during the Indoc phase, the first three weeks.

It will depend on your current weight at the time you show up to OCS, but overall you will lose some weight. If you are overweight, count on having a rough time and losing a bunch of weight. I was pretty skinny and still lost about 5-10lbs. However, you will recover most, if not all the weight...

One thing is for sure, the P-8 will never beat the pilot rack in the back of the P-3... one of the best places around to take a nap.

WEGL12, I went through MEPS for the full physical last year while applying to AF OTS. The Navy had me go through MEPS again but just for an inspection, an update to ensure that no medical issues had taken place since last year.
