In Newport we used the same chowhall as the rest of the base so it's way toned down. Ballistics are (kinda) secured, as are most of the other DI shenanigans. The worst was fridays when your choice is steak or king crab legs. I always thought that was the Chow hall getting in on the OCS...

I think we all know the feeling. I'm still waiting for a final select but a few weeks ago my recruiter told me to expect a 1FEB OCS date. I'm all psyched for a winter in Newport but with every day that passes, I think 1FEB is less and less likely. All we can do is wait.

NREMT makes reciprocity relatively easy. If you're registry, you can just take the FL written. I believe this applies to all levels. Without registry you would have to retake the EMT-B/I/P course.

I'm waiting on a PRK waiver so here's hoping. From what I understand, they don't actually finish the security clearance for several months so that usually doesn't hold up a final select. Everyone keep us posted, especially if you get a date.
