NRD Detroit says the 10May class is still going as scheduled. It was going to be moved but the idea was quickly recinded and all told of the change were told to disregard and continue as planned.

BDCP is the Navy Officer Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program. Basically the Navy pays you to finish your college degree. Once you graduate you are off to OCS. http://www.navy-officer.com/BDCP.pdf

They start your background and security checks once you are pro rec'd. If you've already done MEPS and the PRT then all that you will be waiting on is your background check before a final select is issued and sent to be signed.

I haven't recieved orders yet. My OR said that they usually arrive with in a week or 2 of your class date.

Report date changed and now ready to swear in either late this week or early next week. My new class date is May 10!

Jumpthe gun a bit. My final select letter is completed but I guess it needs to be signed but they are waiting until my class date gets changed. So i'm almost there. I'm guessing I'll get the April 19th or 26th class.

Congrats on getting your GPA situation sorted out! Waiting is the hardest part and it sucks when you should have recieved some sort of nob but didn't because of an error. Just hang in there and in the end things will work out!

Well this must have been the quickest turnaround. Medical paperwork is back from the flight surgeon, waivers completed, i'm just waiting on my security clearance to come back. Too bad they just couldn't use one of my past several checks lol.

I'm guessing about 70% of the MEPS applicants that I went with are going through Boot right now. It is a little strange the think about it like that.

Physical paperwork came back from MEPS and was just sent down to the Flight Surgeon for my 2 waivers (shoulder surgery and PRK). My OR stated it should be another week or so before that makes it back to him and upon the completion of that I can get contracted in. SIGH almost there lol.

My whole process took just under a year but as stated I had a 6 month hold due to the PRK surgery and finishing up my degree. I think if you are motivated, your OR is motivated, and you get lucky at boards you could get through in about 5 months or so.

I've been in frequent contact with my OR, who has been top notch through this entire process and i'm glad he is in my district, says MEPS keeps sending my paperwork back and wants my 6 month paperwork before scheduling my physical.

MEPS won't clear me until my 6 month PRK check-up. Fortunatly that is coming quickly (28 December) so I should have my FS some time after the first of the year and into February.
