He did, rebounded and winged at south field. Haven't talked to him in awhile but on Facebook it looks like he's gone on to have a great career.

    So, what do you do?

This thread reminded me of a funny story from Seville about ten years ago. Buddy of mine from OCS was going through a divorce and struggling in primary because of it, so I took him out to try and get him laid and clear his head a bit. I was married at the time so playing the wingman was a fun...

Froggy, my info is a little dated as well but I drove my car to Newport back in '08. I know a lot has changed, but during check in and before the fun and games kicked off they gave us the opportunity to put stuff in our cars before moving them to the long term parking lot. Guys who flew in made...

    Scarring in retina

That's kind of what I was getting at with my question to him about whether his issue was "noticed" by a civilian doc, or if it was part of a basic military entrance physical. If it was just something that was just "noticed" by a civilian doc (and if there was no official diagnosis made or...

    Scarring in retina

How did you find out about your scarring, was it a civilian or military eye doctor? I went through both MEPS and three full flight physicals in Corpus over the course of a few years when I was applying for OCS back in 2004-8, neither place ever found any issues with my eyes. I was selected for...

USN Prior enlisted HM trying to become a pilot. I have one big hurdle to jump...

How about I started with: "I'm not sure how it affects someone trying to get their foot in the door", and followed that with my personal experience with NAMI, which is what the OP asked for in the beginning. OP: "Has anyone ever dealt with NAMI over something like this?" You also were kind...

USN Prior enlisted HM trying to become a pilot. I have one big hurdle to jump...

I'm not sure how it affects someone trying to get their foot in the door other than possibly being a potential deciding factor between two otherwise equal applicants, but it is not automatically disqualifying for pilots. As an aviator you can be diagnosed and given meds, you'd be grounded while...

Jesus Christ... I know you're still young and a bit naïve kid but if you're that worried about getting yelled at and which flight school is "easier", you may want to re-evaluate your career aspirations of flying jets/going to TPS. Oh, and the blueberries are some of the ugliest, most...

Jolly - Do you happen to know if that sequence changed in the last few years? Just curious because a friend of mine from primary went from VT2 to Corpus and then back to Whiting for wings. Totally agree it was an extreme outlier, but like you said before, it helps to have more than one brain involved sometimes (that whole checks and balances thing democracy is so keen on ). Yeah, and only one of them was in the cockpit... Why couldn't the other pilot get in to stop him? FIFY Bunch of BS. Hozer, that is a good looking rifle... R1, thanks for the advice, I'm a little ahead of you, he had taken off the original wood grips in favor of a more all weather rubber one and I've since switched it back to the original ones it came with. It is a beautiful gun and I can't wait to shoot it.

Indeed it will be, he also bought me my first handgun, a beretta m92f when I was hard charging with the Marines. Marine OCS back strain

HD is spot on, not to mention if you have lower back issues already you're going to have trouble when you start flying, especially if you go tacair. I would recommend seeing a physical therapist who can show you stretches and exercises to help strengthen your lower back muscles.
