Wow, beat me to it. Glockmeister says the earliest they'll have them is the end of this week. I'm just excited to not have to carry my 1911 in the Arizona heat. I've got a Springfield "mil-spec."
My local gun range is always blessed with a full compliment of SF/SEAL/James Bond Snipers every time I go to the gun range.
As the great sage of our time, Dave Chappelle, once said,
"Pimpin' ain't easy... but it is easy."
You're absolutely right, Sir, the A-10 is old news. However, it's hard for me to imagine that its role has been properly replaced by the 18 or the 35 or anything else the Air Force has. I coming at this from the point of view of someone who's on the ground. Nothing so significantly changed the...
Disassembly of the weapon from its stock and hand guard is pretty simply. You can find videos of that on youtube. I would look for a surplus gi stock. They're not wood, but they do the job. There's two big m14 web forums that a quick google search will show you. They have classifieds where you...

If you've deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq then you should definitely get your name on this list. Down the road, if you get hit by the big C or develop respiratory issues, being on this list will hopefully cut through a...
I have a springfield "mil-spec" which I've really enjoyed. Has always gone bang and looks like the classic while having more modern dot sites. I carry a concealed glock 23. The 1911 is just for funzies.
You're on the right track. A Rem 700 Chambered for .308 is going to mean easy access to replacement or aftermarket parts, which is nice. As far as rifles go. At your budget, I'd also take a look at the Tikka t3 line of rifles. They're nicer out of the box but won't have as much aftermarket...
To answer your question, no.
The amount OCS slots for people coming off the street was somewhere around 7, last year. I believe it was around 23 or so the year before. Both of those years 40-50% of the candidates had graduate degrees.
USCG OCS is stupid competitive right now.
If you rejoin and serve on active duty for 90 days or more then your clock is reset. Call the VA at Muskogee to confirm this information. They have an automated system so instead of waiting on hold you can elect for them to call you back within a certain time window.
First off, I want to apologize for a poorly written question. I did not mean to assert that choosing to be a Marine Officer who is also a father would be an unethical choice. I simply meant to say that most Marines fathers I've seen have either been good at their job or good with their family...
I don't have much money (comparatively) but I know how to have fun with what I have.
There is a second 18.5 ft. Kayak mounted behind the front red kayak.
I spent six years enlisted in the Marine Corps and I'm finishing my bachelor degree this Spring. The Coast Guard is my first option but I realize that the USCG has about as many slots per year as I have fingers. I'm looking at the Navy as a second option. I'm still single but I'd like to have a...
Great pics. I'm headed on a scouting trip here in AZ this weekend and got drawn for a cow/anterless elk hunt which starts next weekend. I'll be sure to take some pics and post them here.
I thought electronic emissions were required to be tested by the FCC prior to sale to the public? Isn't that what those stamps and seals are all about on every piece of electronic hardware that you buy?
Ditto on previous comments.
Would also call to attention the FNP/FNX .40 by FN. They fit my hand particularly well and I like the fact that they have a hammer as opposed to striker fired, and are sa/da, which some people like and some don't.
You'll be happy with any of these pistols, I'm sure.
No rounds penetrated his body armor, and he made it home with no permanent injuries. This happened in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
From the cameraman:
" I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my...
That thing is big enough to have its own orbit. I guess you could use it for hunting if you're into handgun hunting....
Personally, I'd take the cash and buy an M1 garand from the CMP. Then I could wave my m1 around wildly as I yell at the neighbor's kids to get off my lawn.
We've been doing 7 month deployments while the Army has been pumping 12+ months standard. I agree that we make things harder on ourselves than need be but deployment length has been one exception.
Obviously, who knows what the future has in store for us.
Answer: Yes, but before the second round of mutual tanning oil application
The PTR ate absolutely everything I could feed it and is definitely the most "reliable" 7.62 battle rifle I have ever owned. That being said, the rifle was soul-less and not very fun. I also found the ergonomics to be...
My old standby. Springfield mil-spec.
My buddy trying out my Daniel Defense 16" middy with POF lower and LMT sopmod stock. Rounded out with a Nightforce 2.5-10x32. (Best scope I've ever owned)
PTR-91 and GSG-5 (.22) I have since sold them both. I go through guns like most marines...
I've heard back and forth. I think they're awesome for the PFT and will continue to wear them until told not to.
IMO they are way better than regular PT shorts. A lot of brass don't like them because they are much shorter than regular shorts and if you're not wearing underwear underneath...
Parrothead08, thanks for the info, I've been trying to get a good read on CG aviation (numbers wise). It's a little disheartening to see how small the OCS classes are, let alone those drawn for aviation. I'm hoping by the time I finish school it'll be back on the upswing.
When I was a kid, a man broke into our two story home from the back patio. My dad heard it, got up, grabbed the shotgun and pumped one in the chamber. That was enough for the intruder to take a hint. He ran out the back and he never came back. I know one size does not fit all in these...
Like Mike said, get any lower you want. Upper recommendations are Daniel Defense, LMT, BCM, Colt, Spikes, CMMG, Stag.
Unless you do your own reloading, I'd stick with 5.56 and ignore the boutique calibers.
