Kinda brings me back to that thread from a few months ago talking about the autonomy of our pilots that are downrange. Commander’s guidance is given and our people (many of which are JOs) just go out and execute with minimal further leadership oversight. This was a supreme example of it. It was great work!

Absolutely, it's a great story. I think any warfighting service member, of any branch or paygrade, can take away some great lessons learned -- the importance of clear commander's guidance and ROE, executing your tactics in a "non standard" enviornment, fighting through equipment malfunctions/failures, joint C2 (and conversely, the importance of being able to work an issue organically), etc.

I definitely look forward to the Proceedings/NAWDC Journals articles.
