Talked with him again. He says he made an error, it is on the 16th of Jan. And the auto select board is again for people ready to go to OCS within 60 days of the board results.

Do we know what constitutes the requirements to go to the auto-qual board?

I just sent in my package and I'm so relieved! I'm currently in the Navy, and I was waiting on my Commodore's endorsement to finish my package. He had it on his desk for like two months but finally got around to signing it. I'm really pumped they moved the board date up so now there will be less of a wait time to find out.

Did anyone else's OR say anything about a GPA minimum for this board?

Apparently it was not published.
Mine didn’t but i believe usually you need a GPA of 3.0+ to be competitive but if your ASTB scores are high, you could get away with a sub 3.0 GPA.

If anyone gets any word from their recruiter on the auto-select coming or receives an auto-select please post it on here. Supposed to be one on 12/31 but could be a couple days early or later.

First time post, hey guys I'm on the Jan board and was wondering what have you guys heard about having civilian ratings. I've heard both sides that the Navy likes applicants with experience because they know they'll do well in flight school but I have also heard that they don't necessarily like people with experience because they can have bad habits that need breaking so they would prefer people without. I would hope it would help because I've been going off what my recruiter said that it could make up for my poor gpa (2.9 in an aviation degree)

I seriously doubt it. It’s listed under the positives of what makes an applicant more competitive. I’m getting my license right now and I feel like this preliminary exposure will help me tons down the line if I get selected.
