What NRC considers competitive

I don't know where you're at in college, but I will state the obvious: the better the GPA, the better the application, which also goes for for any other program where your education is a consideration (grad school, jobs, etc.).

At the risk of further acquiring the Captain Obvious badge, if you have ROTC friends, don't look at their 2.7 in Italian Renaissance art history and how they're slotted to go in as SWOs once they graduate, as it's a completely different animal. ROTC is the mega meat processing plant that provides the overwhelming majority of officers to the Navy and other branches.

Your activities are through the roof. Are you doing those actively at this time? Just the fraternity alone is a solid part-time job (having been in a fraternity myself).

I already graduated, last August, so unfortunately I'm stuck with this 3.19. When I first decided I wanted to apply for OCS I was at a 2.4.

Hi guys and gals, I have been in contact with my OR and ER and I just started a dual process application. I am doing dual process so I can get my clearance (again), meps, etc. rolling while I wait for boards to convene. I will apply

I really wanted to get the enlisted recruiter credit because she is working her ass off for me. She told me If I get the OCS offer they will both get the credit for my joining.

COLLEGE: The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, Main Campus), BS - Cyber Warfare Intelligence Analysis and Modeling
GPA: 3.25 (cum) 3.9 (Focus)
OAR: 60
Age: 30, Prior AD (ATI2, RE-1, Honorable)
Communities: 1. Crypto(IW), 2. SWO, 3. IP, 4. Intel
LORS: Vietnam Vet, O6 (ARMY), USMC O6, Navy O5, Navy E-8, Navy E-7, USMC E-8.
MISC: Red Cell (hacking club), THON (Largest student philanthropist organization in the world), Outward Bound, Multiple volunteer work, Worked with PTSD Marines in a local camp, etc etc.

*Saw the post by @Anthony Cardenas as I was posting mine and even though my opinion is really just that, from the research I have done, I think you have a good chance man. Like I have seen Rufio and NavyOffRec say multiple times if you apply you always have a chance. Hey who knows, maybe we both get lucky and be in the same OCS class.

*edit
I will keep everyone appraised of my process, and specific stats and how it all goes for reference. I might even start a video documentary on Youtube to help share my experience and any information and tips I learned. From the fair share of research I have done, there is a serious lack of data on this process and I don't think a couple knowledgeable men on airwarriors can ever hope to answer them all. Hopefully if things go well for me I will be able to share my experiences and help someone else out in the future.

Boards don't care about your focus GPA, so remove that. It's all about cumulative to include any community college courses taken. The CW, SWO as your #1 and #2 choices is a solid plan.
Thanks for the input Rufio. You and NavyOffRec do so much for the community and the Navy as a whole, I really hope you guys get the appreciation you deserve and know how many careers and lives you have advised and impacted in an outstanding way. Bravo Zulu guys, much respect.

According to OTCNINST 1530.6J, OCS produces the majority of officers but your point is still valid.

The bottom line is, you should try and be the best version of you. Don't strive for the minimum quals/scores, get your shit together and submit a strong package.

Thank you. Incredible how much bad or misleading information I get from the Navy officers I know. I'll be forwarding the document to them.

To quote the relevant passage:
Of all the Navy’s Commissioning sources, approximately 45% of all Navy Line Officers commission annually through the doors of OCS. OCS is an intensely rigorous 12 week program which convenes approximately 17 classes a year with up to 100 candidates per class.

pilot requires a 5 PFAR score. For NFO you just meet the minimums so that means...

I meant to put 5/5/4 I remember my recruiter saying I got a 4 for the NFO side of the test. I haven't seen anyone make it with these low scores so maybe looking to see if anyones heard of someone else making it with this type of application.

Everything looks fine. It’ll be your CEC interview which really determines how competitive you are.

Like RUFIO said the interview is very important, I was on a CEC trip where they did the interviews and one girl who had a very good GPA and on paper looked like she was a perfect candidate just blew it during the interview, when she was asked why she wanted to be an officer she said because she was smart and had a college degree and wanted to serve her country, when asked if she would go enlisted if she didn't get selected she said she was too good to go enlisted.

The unfortunate thing for her was the interviewer had been an enlisted Marine for nearly 6 or 8 years, and went enlisted with a degree until he applied to be an officer.

At least he doesn’t have to worry about the going enlisted question since he already... enlisted.
