I'm about to start the application process for OCS in the USMC. I don't have any mental health issues, or anxiety disorders. Some people have just recommended for me to see a shrink to discuss ways to handle my anxiety. I definitely could go through life without it, but I do have some anxiety which I wouldn't mind some help managing.
I'm already in an uphill battle medically because I have hypothyroid, which even though the medical manual says I don't need a waiver for, I probably will end up needing one anyway.
Would this be a non-factor in MEPS or should I just tough out the next year of college if I want to get into OCS?
