Meanwhile on HULU was "Saving the Titanic", a fantastic 2012 British film told from the viewpoint of the ship's company and engineers who knew they were going down with the ship - but fought to the end anyway so as many passengers as possible could survive.

Season 2 of Man in the High Castle is pretty great! Also, recently rewatched An Officer and a Gentleman and whats not to love about that movie ;)

Binge-watched "Travelers" last weekend, which is very good. Sort of "Quantum Leap" mashed up with "Twelve Monkeys", "24", and "Dead Like Me".

Netflix also just picked up "Fauda," an Israeli series about a Mossad unit and their Palestinian targets and all the people around them. It's been described as "'The Wire' in Ramallah". I've looked forward to seeing it since I first read about it, and I'm trying to enjoy it. But the Hebrew is overdubbed in English, which is bad enough, but it's really really bad dubbing. Like they grabbed a dozen random people off a street in Cleveland and told them to start reading the script. The Arabic dialogue is subtitled.

I get that they're trying to convey that the Mossad agents are completely fluent in Arabic, enough to pass as Palestinian when they're undercover, that they move back and forth between Hebrew and Arabic even when speaking among themselves, and what that implies as far as how deeply they live the mission. And Israeli Hebrew and Levantine Arabic sound similar enough to an untrained ear that that nuance would otherwise be lost. But come on...somebody could have afforded some talented voice actors to do it.

I saw this in an earlier thread but nobody ever gave a review of it. It looked very interesting. Anybody see it?

"Our World War"--British miniseries on WWI is excellent.

"My Way"--Korean movie based on true story about Korean and Japanese runners separated by war and fighting against each other. Netflix is done with it, but Amazon has it.
