Hey everyone I didn't see a thread for this date so I'm making one!

Checking in from Chicago IL.

Congrats to everyone that made it here! I look forward to seeing where this adventure / career goes! Hit me up if anyone's from Chicago and wants to meet up prior to ocs.

Hey for those of you arriving in Rhode Island early are you staying at the Navy Lodge or one of the surrounding hotels? Also did you all want to meet up the night before for a dinner gathering or something like that. PM me or respond on here.

I will try to book a room at the Navy lodge, but If I cant get one I wont stress it. I'm down to meet up the night before.

Nice, yeah the wife and I looked at the hotels but they were around 300 /night and the Navy lodge was already booked up. Ended up finding a home for rent for 150/night!

There's a steak house that seems like it would suffice for the meet up; North End Steakhouse. https://goo.gl/5EB7uq

Just so everyone knows the Navy Lodge looks booked online but if you call they have rooms available just tell them you're coming out for OCS. $79 for the night!

From the may board, penciled in for this date but no finsel just yet. I live in Minnesota and plan on making the long drive.
Haven't made up my mind yet if I will in fact drive, I know it would be convenient for a few of those days on liberty but it is a long drive.

If the date sticks I'd plan on the navy lodge as well and a dinner the night before sounds great. Thanks for offering, really nice of you to pay for all of our dinners when you haven't even met us yet...
